Thread: Droids Going Rates
I want a person crafting station that would be neat, but don't you think that should be a Bio item?

Seriously, If you droid actually provides a function (I.E. HAs a module of sorts) They should not be sold for less than 1k, otherwise you are killing us. The novelty MSE that you crank out, sell for as much as you can get. I was selling them for 500-1k last night since they no one else had them yet. This weekend people will start giving these away and killing any market we have.

FYI, DE's are the ONLY class that can make a person crafting station...not a personal crafting tool which is what I think you had in mind.
With a personal station you can build higher level schematics, in fact you are REQUIRED to have a personal stion for a lot of higher schematics.
I'm a droid buyer. I'm an armorsmith and a medic, so having a city-mobile hospital and crafting station is helpful, but just that.
Until droids can be deployed outside of camps and cities, their value will remain low. People will only want them to speed up the crafting process and to heal the occassional straggler who can't find a hospital. I'd buy an MSE with both a med module and a crafting module for 1K, but not much more than that. It's just too much to pay to avoid a 3 minute walk. You might sell them as a novelty for much more than that once in awhile, but overall your going to have to wait until patches improve their capabilities and fix their problems before you make the big bucks.
I can make advanced probots now too, but im short on resources at the monent.
Again, NO, Architects in their FURNITURE tree can build PERSONAL CRAFTING STATIONS and put them in their house. Look at the skill trees.
So what you are saying is that the four stations I built as an Architect with the control units, sensor suites, and storage compartments and placed in my house are NOT personal crafting stations??? Kinda funny, they work just like a personal crafting station.I have access to all my high end schematics, even play around with expermintation if I choose to. I was able to make these when I became a Novice Architect. I DID however, have to find a Droid Engineer to make the droid storage compartment modules for them.
I will say in the future I will be dealing with DE with skeptisim. The one I asked to have craft them for me told me they took a lot of resources, and in my being ignorant, took him at his word. I traded a small house for 20 droid storage modules which I now know only take 23 resources each. The small house takes over 3000. I was taken once, never again.
I have a hard enough time selling them for 8k... nevermind 25k.
On the topic of crafting droids, they're also nice when you're sitting in the middle nowhere and sampling. Lets you work on crafting the perfect item without having to leave your sample spot.
