You ignore the affect that using the exploit has upon your fellow DE's who do not use the exploit in your defense of your actions. And selling them at 30k makes is so it is flat out impossible for any DE that does not use the exploit to compete with you.

You are right. It doesn't hurt your customers.

But it doeshurt your fellowDE's and it does hurt the droid economy by driving prices into the dirt and making it so that no one who doesn't abuse the exploit can compete with you.

Coming here to justify screwing us all by saying it "doesn't hurt your customers" is pretty darn silly. That's not the point is it?

There's no sugar coating for it. Whether SOE is going tobust you for it or not is irrelevant. You'rehurting your fellow DE's either way. No amount of words is going to change that.

Ha...You know how many Droid Engineers I have found on my server or in my Market Area? LOL...at the most...4. That is excluding the 100's who are grinding their way through the profession in search of their Jedi character and who do not give ahoot about who wants what droid.

Also, these DE in my market area...I have tried to get ahold of them to ask questions when I was a novice. They never respond to my /tells or emails. They either are not online or have "AFK" marked so I can not talk to them...This also means their customers are not being helped when needed.

This goes for all crafters. Most crafters I have come across: Architects, Weaponsmiths, Tailors, etc....They always (if I do happen to get ahold of them, 2/10 times at the most.) tell me the items I want will not be available until the next day, 2 days, next week, etc... Sometimes, I give them an order to fill and I never get anything I ordered. When a customer sends a /tell to me or asks me about a droid...I am there to help them. I push that droid out within 1-2 hours. I am there to answer questions and help them with anything they need...that being a droid or not. Just last night a newbie player was asking me questions about him getting his Jedi Toon unlocked, I helped him to the best of my knowledge. When I was a novice DE, people came to me for droids I could not build. I gave them a few names of other DE who had trained me in whatever skill I had learned already.

My point is...be there for your customers. Your customer service speaks a lot louder than the droids you provide. This goes for all crafters. If you are not there to help me or another customer, chances are, I/they are NOT going to come back to you, whether you sell UBER items or not. They are going to go to someone who is there for them, can help them and is reasonable to them on pricing, etc...

Personally, I HATE it when I search for someone to ask them about making me something and they either have AFK on their reply or they say they are too busy to help or I can't have what I am asking for until a week passes. That is all pathetic. If you are so backed up, so busy, AFK or just can't help your customers in general, take your title off your character so you are not searchable by Profession. IMO, someone who wants an MSE droid is just as important as someone who wants to buy a USELESS BLL droid. I hate it when I /tell an architect for a few pieces of furniture and he/she uses the excuse that they are making aPA Hall for someone at the moment. That is pathetic in my opinion. Take 5 minutes to make the stupid Sofa Chair, collect your $3500 and move on.

So...in summation, give me some COMPETITION if you are affraid of me stealing your business. Let a customer know you are there to help them in whatever way you can whether it has to do with what you are involved in or not. That is what wins a sell, not wheter the item is UBER (well, in most cases. Some people will put up with hell just to get something good, but people have said my droids are not noticably different than those created by MDE, because I am not a MDE yet)

When will this issue finally die? This is a known bug andusing a known bug to your advantage is an exploit. End of frigging story.

So you are a customer savvy business man and haven't had much luck chatting with your competitors so it is ok to cheat them.

Does that about sum up your post.

Everything you say about customer friendliness is true of me as well. But its irrelevant to this issue. You hide behind the fact that you are nice to your customers as though it were some kind of shield. It's paper thin.

I am not hiding behind it. I am saying if people were there for their customers, they would already have a solid customer base, and those customers would not be coming to me for a droid. In lieu of this, the conversation between them an I abouta droid of this type being available would never take place, therefore disallowing me touse an exploit.

I do not market these droids. I market standard droids. If a crafter comes to me, I offer these droids as a way of keeping the hassle of calling/storing different crafting droids from him/her. I offer these droids to doctors/CM who come to me so they can experiment on their buff items and offer buffs to customers with 1 droid rather than 2. Other than that, I really do not offer these droids to anyone. I build standard medical droids for Medics. I build probots with medical attributes. I offer whatever standard droids people want.

My idea of customer service is the reason I have a high customer base, not these droids. Most people who have bought one of these have bought another droid from me in the past that was built without this bug being used. They enjoyed my way of helping them and my promptness in getting their order to them. That is why they came back. Not because they thought before contacting me that I could use a bug in the game to help them.

By this decision, you're also "keeping the hassle from him/her"of buying a single, premium priced, ADV-R3 loadedwith Food/Chem, Clothing/Armor, Weapon/Droid/General, Structure/Furniture, Item6, and Medical6 modules.

And you think this is fair for the people who are building these higher priced ADV-R3's?

You are hiding behind it actually. Because every time you pose an argument you quietly change the subject to your excellent customer service without ever addressing the point that it does hurt the economy. This is a MMOG. You do not sell droids in a vacuum.

Believe what you will...I don't sell many of these anyway.

And, the patch on the 12th will remove this option, so no fear...my "ripping and exploiting" of DE will soon come to an end.

P.S. Yes, it may hurt the economy, but so does someone selling resources for 12cpu! I even saw someone selling 1 unit of resource on bazaar for $3k...haha...tell me that is good for the economy.

Some resources are WORTH 12 cpu, particularly high quality rares which have not spawned in a while, which can be worth much more.

As for one unit selling for 3K, that was an attempt to rip off the stupid.

P.S. I do apologize if I have offended or ticked anyone off, that was not my intention. I simply wanted to know if people were going to lose ability to use their droids that may or may not have been built with this current socket nerf. I am sure I am not the only one who has built some droids like this.

no you are not the only one. I see them in other DE's vendors every once and a while on Kauri.

No, what you're doing is screwing over your fellow DE. You argue about making a profit, but you're selling those droids at 30k?! I'd be selling those for 80k if you could make them without exploiting. I have no problem selling R2s with all crafting stations for 60k.

"I am doing this so my customers have a droid worth the money they pay."

If they don't think it's worth the money, then they won't buy it. A lot of people seem to think having a mobile crafting station, much less four, is worth a fair amount of money. Go figure.

Dude, I was offered 2 mil for 2 units of horn.

I also have resources I can get over 100cpu for, because it's 1000 oq polymer that WS can use and then resell at 1000cpu.
