Yup. I can't believe your selling them at 30k. I had some guy the other day offer me 80k to make one before the patch.

Actually up tell a week ago after asking for months and months was the first response from anyone wether it was supposed to be that way or not.

And im not sure it was ever called an exploit by soe (could have been i dont remember) But my point is we asked for months with no response on the issue.

Frankly not sure why you would use it anyway what would you stack noone uses droids other then storage and crafting stations.

I too have read that this will be considered an exploit and thus no stacked clusters will work post-patch.

I have never heard any of the moderators or DEVs say this was an exploit and people who openly do such a thing would be disciplined.

If the Moderators and DEVS don't like these kind of things in the game, then they should fix them before they are found and used by theplayers of the game.

Drashk, if this is an "official" statment you have brought here saying this is a non-acceptable practice, please tell me and I will stop. But, until you make it "official" I do not expect or believe that the DEVs will prosecute me in any way, shape or form.

Heck, I still see people hiding behind harvestors while they kill animals, KRAYTS even!

I still see other exploits in this game being used all the time. I think nothing of it as like I said, "If the game lets you do it, I don't consider it cheating." This has been pushed down my throat also by other people in the PvP debates by people saying: "If you don't like it, don't put yourself in or create that situation." I have taken this seriously and now push it down anyone's throat who comes at me with similar ideas which fall under this category.

The small amount of exploit I am using and the profit I am making I feel is not an offense I should be disciplined for. If I were marketing these items for $70-$100k in the game, then maybe. But I am selling them for $30k...I may use an exploit, but that is no reason to rip people off. It takes a very small amout of material to create droids in the overall scheme of it. Yes, droids can be a PITA to create because of the many components, but they still have a minimal amount of resources that go into them.

I am just making something worth the money my customers pay. Since the droids in SWG currently suck for the most part, and are very limited...I am trying to make something out of nothing here. I would think the DEVs would give me an applaus for doing so. Why would someone want to fiddle with 5 droids in their inventory when they can have 1 that does it all. It is not really adding an "imbalance" either. All it does is keep their confusion of what droid to pull out minimal and the use of baterries less. It isn't like they are having 10 Rancors out at once or something.

Yes, you can say that this would empower them to hold more droids than the limit of 5 and get more use than others...but...at this point, most people dont have more than 1 or 2 anyway because in this game currently DROIDS JUST DON'T STACK UP!

DEV's, if you give me something worthwhile to market and sell, I would not be doing this. Architects have tons of items they can craft. Weaponsmiths have USEFUL items they can offer...Armorsmiths offer protection for the body and are high in demand. What do we DE have in this game?? CLOSE TO NOTHING. Nothing we do is not anything which can not be accomplished through other means. You can not be a marksman without a gun. You can not have resistances without some type of armor. You can not get buffed without a doctor.... But...you can go to a crafting station to experiment. You can use a med center to buff. You can use the bank, your private building, etc...to store items. You want a battle puppet, you become a CH...there is nothing that DE can provide that is a necessity in the game. Make it so, and you will have me off this road of spite.

Now, if you would like to publish an "official" 'This is not acceptable by SOE or the Developers' plaus against my practice, do so, and I will stop. But provide this before you ban me, take money or resources from me or discipline me in the matter.

You want to hear of an exploit???? The fact that when I experiment on a driod component, many times the "Capability" goes up and the "Quality" goes down. Does that make any sense?!?! Like I had a Lvl 4 Droid Storage Module and it was Storage Capability was +8, yet Item Quality was -6...after experimenting from an original set up of Storage Capability of -1 and Item Quality of 0. That makes no SENSE to me. My point? DEV's Fix the issues we have as DE before you come down on me and I will be happy and play by the rules. But, until then I expect nothing more from myself than what you can provide. You are the ones making the REAL money here, not me.

Unfortunately, the stacking bug has allowed for the following bad side effects:

1) It has eliminated the whole reason for having more advanced droid chassis.
2) It has eliminated any real benefit from mastering the profession.
3) It has allowed for droids to be created which are not subject to the built-in limits.

I'm glad it's gone.

Ok, do you know the gaming definition of "exploit"? Obviously not. Because whether or not it has been officially declared an exploit is irrelevant. Using a bug or loophole in the game to gain an advantage is an exploit.

Please refer to Thunderhearts post in which he states that this is a bug.

By definition, anyone abusing a bug for their own gain is an exploiter.

As a result, I am following Drashk's advice and going through every single post that I've seen here with people stating they have knowingly abused this exploit and reporting them.

That's what they get for buying an exploited droid. Maybe they should demand their money back from the DE who is the exploiter? Hmmm.

'Exploit early, Exploit often' becomes a mantra for the very reason that the folks who tend to get punished are those who either DON'T exploit, or those who learn about things too late to take advantage.

I fully expect that there will be a complete lack of repercussions, except that some people will be unable to offer product they are used to making available.

The only thing we get from being honorable is that we can feel better about ourselves.

You ignore the affect that using the exploit has upon your fellow DE's who do not use the exploit in your defense of your actions. And selling them at 30k makes is so it is flat out impossible for any DE that does not use the exploit to compete with you.

You are right. It doesn't hurt your customers.

But it doeshurt your fellowDE's and it does hurt the droid economy by driving prices into the dirt and making it so that no one who doesn't abuse the exploit can compete with you.

Coming here to justify screwing us all by saying it "doesn't hurt your customers" is pretty darn silly. That's not the point is it?

There's no sugar coating for it. Whether SOE is going tobust you for it or not is irrelevant. You'rehurting your fellow DE's either way. No amount of words is going to change that.

Duncje,

Yes, I know the meaning of "exploit." My point is...that is a BUG which adversely effects me and my crafted items in a negative way. That is aNegative Exploit on my part. I have no choice but to be screwed because of that bug, which then makes me not be able to even make a "properly" crafted item following my experimental abilities.

Ackis,

As I said...I am not using this for personal gain. Please read my post in full. I am doing this so my customers have a droid worth the money they pay. I am doing this to add a bit of content to the Droids I build. I am not selling these for $70k-$100k like some people have recommended I sell them for. I am pretty much selling them at the same price anyone would sell one of these droids made without using the exploit.

All-in-all, I am doing it so that people in this game can turn to their droid and say "Hmm, I have a nice droid here." Other than them knowing they got it from me, there was nothing 'extra' that I am using for self-profit or personal gain.

Now, Why am I typing all this? So that the DEVs will get it through their thick head that they need to add better driods. That they need to give droids a quality that makes them unique and a necessity for some people. Yes, Bounty Hunters use them, but with the Seeker Droid bug that the bounty hunters really have no choice of exploiting or not...they don't really need to buy more than 1 set of 10. (That is another negating factor that effects my business, that the DEVs have created)

Personally, I am glad this bug will be removed as well. It is a beginning to what I am hoping turns into more droids, better droids, unique droids and USEFUL droids that I can make, market and sell.

I don't know if you've been under a rock, or what, but experimentation doesn't matter, not one bit.

So this so-called "negative exploit" (which by definition is not an exploit because you can't "exploit" it for personal gain) doesn't affect you at all.

You claim you're not doing this for personal gain, sell droids the way they're meant to be sold....

If I was on tempest, I'd find Barth's shop and craft a couple of BLL's that I would put on patrol in front of his shop door.

One would be named:

The other would be names:
