AO, don't quit man. Seriously. You andI are a lot alike, we both like droids, but we don't feel they should be free. We enjoyed the business aspect of droids, we enjoyed making money from them, yet in the end, we still loved droids. Were a rare breed of DE, most who wanted credits would have changed to AS or WS a long time ago.
I do feel your pain though, my sales are down as well, I had my own guildy buy a med droid from somebody else, maxed med droid, food crafting, and storage, for 1k. Mine are only 30k, and the reality is that I would have given a guildy one for free. Hard to expect customer loyalty when even your own guildmates are doing it
The low prices are annoying, but what really bothers me is "naming theft." I have names like Crafters Dream, Probot Devestator, and Utility droids. People have copied my names, then they undercut prices, then it actually even looks to people like they are getting the same droid for free.
The only saving grace to this system, is the horrid sorting. If people want really "rare" items, they can find them, but it is a pain to sort through pages of stuff. So maybe I'll still get some word of mouth referels.
I'm not quitting though, that would be letting undercutters win. If I sell less, then I can play my combatent more, and get back into PVP again. Plus I have that other time sink to do....

People are selling flight computers for 100cr a level. That's right, you too can buy a Level 6 Flight Computer that lasts forever for 600cr. And the guy doing it was prepared - he even had the prices on the labels.
That's my point, though. I'm not selling near that cheap, and I'm still getting more sales than I have in months.

Okay,
Just signed up my vendor to the search thingy on the bazaar.
FACTORY CRATE SUCK. Factory Crates Suck. FaCtOrY cRaTeS sUcK!
How many more ways can I say this?
It will take hours just to search on that system. My god, I saw everything on that list. Why? Because EVERYTHING CAN BE FACTORY CRATED. AND IS! In fact, that is the most economical way to make things. And because this new search mechanism is all about efficiency apparently... this means most everything would need to be factory crated.
To the DE Correspondent:
Please, tell them to scrap the bazaar from the ground up and redo the whole thing. The searching mechanism sucks. When I try to use it... I feel like I am using a Comodore 64, with an excel spread sheet where I scrolling down to see things clicks at the speed of a desert tortoise.
This vendor search thing is by far the stupidest thing in the world. Why can't they divide the bazaar up and each crafter have their own button:
One for AS
One for WS
One for DE
etc.
That would at least divide up the junk.
I am not a fan of this new system, but they are just reducing the live players to Beta Testers just so that they can release SWG, Version 2.0 when Episode III comes out. I said it earlier and I will continue to say it again... they are just gearing up for the new star wars movie. After that, I bet you that a lot of the Devs are going to be laid off within a few weeks and we will get minimal support.
Mark my words on this one.

I feel like a complete idiot, but exactly where is this global listing anyway? I look on the Bazaar under the tab that it should be on the top (can't recall the name at the moment, but I'm sure its the right one). I can look under any category, and I don't find anything. Tried on both Ahazi and Shadowfire (haven't bothered on Bria). I find it hard to believe that no one has put anything on the global on either server, so amI in the wrong place or is there something wrong?
And as far as the bazaar item increase, I like any increase to bazaar prices to an excent. Most of my characters aren't crafters, but I get a lot of stuff I want to sell. I'm not one to be expensive, but I don't want to be selling say a level 9 ship component for 6k when I could sell it to the Chassis Dealer for 9k. 20k seems just about right for people who collect various loot but don't have a vendor and don't want to auction a bunch of stuff off for 10k a piece.

Well this explains everything!
I have been busy with real life stuff the past few days, and had not gone into the game. knowing this was going to be the case i stocked all my merchants for a 5 day buying frenzy . This included the weekend which is usually my busy time of the week.
when i logged in today, i had only made 10 salessince march 24th. Compared to my 25+ sales per day previously. i have had bad days and even bad sales weeks. but WOW i usually make at least 100 sales on a weekend, my worst weekend (before thisweekend that is) was 36 sales(my first weekend)and my best was 312 sales(right after i found some gas for my bomb droids). But 10 sales since the 24th OUCH!!!!
This indicates to me that the folks that were my regulars. are now buying "Elsewhere"
Now before you all chime in... i will be activating the new search feature tonight. ill post the resulting sales here.
my obvious suggestion to all aspiring merchants.....LIST YOUR MERCHANTS!!!....

Here's the patch notes that relate to us, please post all comments/issues/bugs/feedback here (as well as the appropriate Dev thread).
Galaxy-wide Vendor Search is here!
Have you ever wanted to search for an item to buy without having to travel across the entire planet randomly checking vendors? Well now you can! We have enhanced the functionality of our bazaar terminals to include the ability to search all player vendors for items you may be looking for. This new feature will greatly improve how vendors are handled in the game. Read on for more information.
Overview
The purpose of vendor search function is to allow vendor owned items to be searched from anywhere in the galaxy. This will include the following functions:
* Each vendor owner can decide whether to allow his or her vendors to be searchable in the market. There is an option for vendor owners to turn on/off the search option on his or her vendor. The vendor owner will be able to find current search option settings for each of his or her vendor(s)
* When a vendor owner turns on the search option, a player should be able to go to any bazaar and list all items owned by this vendor
* When a vendor owner turns off the search option, the vendor is no longer listed in the galaxy-wide network search. With this search option turned off, vendor owners have the ability to conduct private auctions. Players will need to physically go to the vendor and click "Use Vendor" to list items from this vendor.
Vendor Status
For all the existing vendors, the default option is set to no. Players have to go to their vendors and enable this search option. For all future vendors, this option is set to yes by default. For vendor owners to check if the search option is on or off do the following:
* Select the Vendor you wish to turn search on/off for
* From the radial menu choose "Vendor Control"
Once you have selected "Vendor Control" then choose "Status"
* A pop-up window will show if the search option is on or off
Well my sales picked up, but it is sort of two edged sword for me, I never did the sales I wanted to before this patch, but now I am going to have to fire up all my factories to try and keep pace, on the up side, I should not have trouble shopping for resources.
