This might turn into a book, but I can't describe my fondness for this profession without going into detail...

When I started playing SWG I definitely wanted to be a crafter of some sort, and when I saw the Droid Engineer profession I immediately went in that direction. Well it wasn't too long after I became Master Artisan when I realized that there were 3 or 4 planets that I haven't even been to; so I started travelling. It was very frustrating without any combat skills; I kept getting killed while traveling on my speeders. This made me realize that I couldn't survive this game without having a combat profession. It was also frustrating because I wasn't harvesting nearly enough resources to keep up with my crafting... plus, I had no income (besides Artisan Missions).

I soon became a Master Pistoleer and Master Bounty Hunter (with FS). I was bored very early in these professions. I also found that with every BH target killed, I was receiving hate tells and being banned from every city I arrived in. It became very uninteresting. Not what I imagined the game to be...

I then realized on the forums that many of the loots that I had acquired from grinding were going to soon take me from under a million credits to an eight figure bank account. I quickly retired from the BH position and bought myself a "retired man's" house, fully furnished in the plains of Talus.

It didn't take long until I realized that I was in a perfect position to realize my dream of being a Droid Engineer. What an awesome profession! There's so much to learn, and so many interesting functions are made availabe to this profession. .

I'm not at all near the 5 hours a day type of player that some people are, but the time that I get to log in each week allows me to 'tinker' with different ideas.

So, to make a long story short - I have become the profession I wanted to become from the start, and I will never turn back!
