yea, I haven't tested both people harvesting today, but from what I hear it doesn't work (and doubt it would since you still get the xp for harvesting from the droid).

How many modules have you been stacking in? (or...what's been the Harvest bonus on these droids?)

Respectfully,

I tried both one droid with one module (harvest bonus of 17) and one droid with 3 modules (harvest bonus of 47 I believe). Both yielded the same results (which was the same amount I was harvesting).

I'd have to say that it sounds like this got broken then (or it was put up broken to start). If the numbers are pretty much the same (even in multi-module situations) that makes this module a lot less useful.

Not sure yet....I'll try to find out.

Hi -

I've seen very little info on the survey droids. Can anyone post the resources it needs and what it has been observed to do? Also, out of the new modules, which are stackable?

schematics for the survey module should hopefully be on my web page soon (see link in sig), assuming I can get the app xp for master (think I've got someone capped out on combat xp that is willin to learn ranged suppor 1 a couple hundred times). As to which are stackable... here's the list currently:

Stimpack droid
Auto-repair droid
possibly maintenance modules, not sure on this one. they might just stack similar to our level 1-6 modules we have right now
explosive modules

I think scout harvesting modules are supposed to stack, but they're not working quite right

Can you and the droid BOTH harvest off the same creature? If so, that's effectively doubling the scout's take, which makes this module far from useless.

That was exactly what I speculated a few pages back, but we have been told that isn't the case.

If it allows the scout AND the droid to harvest the resource then it would be very useful. It shouldn't give double XP, however, for obvious reasons.

I like the "if a MOB falls down around other live MOBs idea" - but I just don't see that happening very often, much less see someone call a droid or keep one out for that purpose. Besides, harvesting has a much larger radius than loot - you can harvest something from many meters away.

Again, it's nice to throw a bone to the scouts, but a "career" scout isn't going to see much usefulness from these modules unless they actually enhance their abilities. I think the most valid point I heard above for people liking trap droids was simply to hold traps - which again, may be nice, but I just don't see many people using traps these days in the first place. Like I said above, I forsee many DE's explaining the function of the module and then getting asked, "Yah, but what does it do?"

I'm responding to the part I "greened" above.

I'm a Ranger and a Rifleman, and if this module can allow me to have my droid harvest rather than making me run up to, and away from, a lair over and over to harvest from the creatures I shoot then I will be a very happy hunter indeed.

I've actually seen a request for this sort of thing on the Ranger forum because a lot of us like to hunt using rifles.

Thanks,

Oops. I forgot to respond to this.

I hope to get a droid with both harvesting and trapping capability.

Here's the scenario:

I can shoot a critter in it's head a few timesbefore it notices me and once it does it charges me. If I can predict when it's going to charge I can have my droid chuck a tranquilizer at it and slow it's progress to walking speed, thus giving me time for 1 or 2 more shots to drop the beastie. My droid then harvests the resource for me at a range and I move on the next beastie.

Very nice and clean. I really hope this works as I envision it.

Warm regards,

yep, thats pretty much the way it works right now. While I don't see it being vital, I do see it being pretty handy to rangers.

Ok, had a chance to test out the auto-repair module tonight. It appears it heals for exactly what it lists on the module (I managed to get an R4 with 3 of them up to 58 with 70% or so experimentation on each module) and heals this amount on each HAM bar. Its on a 10 second timer, and will heal all droids in range in your group (30m range, just like the stim droid). It also eats up batteries a bit faster. Not sure exactly how fast, but probably at about twice the normal rate or so (so half hour battery life).

You won't be able to make these right now. The Survey droid is being testy...but I got all my resources/parts tonight for it too..so info on this will be forthcoming after an update to TC.

Lucky dog... the most recent Tolium and Vertex on Ahazi are both 3 weeks old. Vertex has been particularly rare on Ahazi with only 3 spawns ever according to SWGCraft (which appears to have its historical data restored now).

The Tolium was good stuff, though, so with luck I'll be able to find someone with a stash of it who'd be willing to part with some.
