Thread: A brochure to give customers...
Sheesh can we leave "bug not a bug debate" in the other thread? LOL
Nice write up. I have several canned emails that I send.
- Twoemails for a new droid purchase that have instructions on programming.
- Onetalking about probots and armor and why 820 isn't bad
- One is a probot tactical guide
- Two that define each module and what it can and cannot do
- Pricelist
Sure these took a bit of time to write up, but they have saved me countless hours explaining things over and over. It is also good customer service and people really appreciate the information and can keep it for reference if they like.

Put a sock in it!
So you're an exploiter to then eh?
*sticks the sock up your **edit***
if your account is expriring this saturday Ackis , why are you still showering people with your personal views on this board?
I think there are religions out there that would love people like you , go check em out.
ps. to the thread starter , good idea , i've been sending out a price sheet , but including an FAQ and some droids tips is an ever better idea!>

The simple fact that you can make ANYTHING with the skill set of 3/3/0/4 as a DE makes this infinite stacking module thing an EXPLOIT.
Are you abigoted little **edit** with that religious comment also? Dumb **edit** **edit**.
*shoves a sock up your **edit***
The fact that this guy advertises an exploit is so **edit** stupid. So take your comments and**edit** off.
See the pm I sent you.
Yes, having a brochure helps... honestly, I send out a 6 or 7 mail faq (see the link in my sig) to people. That has helped sales immensly, and I honestly think I'm one of the more successful DEs out there, possibly the best on WH.
*shakes hands with you and gives you a sock*
hehehe

stay tuned next week where I'll be compiling all of my rants on this board into one large post on human decency and sense of perspective
Thanks, man. I'd appreciate it. The better-than-thou thing is getting a bit old on this board. Last time we debated this topic there was talk of criminal behavior etc. Give me a break. Socket clusters are not an exploit. And if you disagree fine, but don't call other people names just 'cause you disagree. Socket clusters add the same amount of modules to ALL droids; there just arent enough modules.
Kiom, pls post your "canned" emails to compare.
Thanks for the support sodan, but I'm ready to drop the cluster bug issue in this thread. Will pick it up in other threads (NOT MY 'no money till master' thread though! like this one that thread is to be used for constructive ideas) as soon as I get a chance to combine all my stuff together into one giant lambast.

See the second paragraph of my post.
This is the email on programming naming that I use. The text is from jveedroids.com. I find it easy to alt tab there and get the text and cleaner than forwarding....
- Right click on the droid deed in you inventory. Select TAME. The droid should appear. This is the last time you will see the droid in inventory. From this point forward, it will be stored on your data pad.
- The droid will follow you by default, but we want more, right? Left click and hold on the droid to envoke the radial menu. Select PROGRAM, then FOLLOW ME. You will see a "?" appear over the droid. This means he is ready to "learn" the command.
- The Very next thing you say (type) will be the keyword that will prompt the droid to start following you. You always want to preface this command with the name you have chosen for the droid. EXAMPLE: Sparky Follow. You will then see a "!" appear over the droid. This means the droid has heard and learned the command.
- Repeat this step with at least 3 additional, different commands, and the droid will figure out his name on his own. Remember. the names can not contain any numbers, is case sensitive, and can not have any punctuation except dashes and apostrophies.
This text fits in an email. The last sentence of P3 was dropped for space.

I'd be happy to post them. How do I copy/paste in game. /cry
You have to mess with your keybindings. Goto ctrl-o, then keyboard settings button (I think). Goto to "all" then look for chat-copy, chat-paste and bind them to keys on your number pad.
I always wanted a lump of coal in my stocking so I could sell it.
Well I'm going to put a stop to this now.
Ackis, dont' worry. I've removed it from my brochure and no longer offer it.
And in a sign of good favour and no hard feelings, I even sent someone your way earlier today to your store. They said they were really impressed and quite liked the layout of it (and informed me that they had purchased a probot off your vendor)
Now, Before this spins any further out of control, I hope we can shake hands and drop this argument. I'll even throw in a rubber band to that Xmas coal package if it'll make you feel better
Can't afford any more owing to the limited budget that DEs share.
(But I will be moving a point onto another thread in a moment, and that was about 4-3-0-4 DEs being able to make a profit)
Anyway, lets put all the rest of the stuff behind us and get back to the point of this post. Anyone have anything they'd like to add to the brochure? I am currently attributing this brochure to a recent huge success in sales I've had recently (compared to previous sales and the time associated with training customers) so coming up with a better (or even more standardized) version of this is still hot on my mind.
