What does that 0.35 To Hit mean? All my life I have been trying to figure this out yet...

Droid Invasion?

Time for me to film my first in-game movie:

"Attack of the Killer Probots"

And the Sequel:

"Invasion of the Superior Probots"

HEH! SOE, if upping 1 of our droids makes you think you are providing a "Droid Invasion"...you have some serious issues.

Oh, but it is a nice step. Really (no sarcasm, lol).

I think this will follow SOE's classic one-two-three balance pass, to be honest. I don't think these stats will make it to live quite this high, since the damage is roughly that of a Prenerf Probot.

It usually goes like this :

1) Lowball pass

2) Highball pass

3) Settle in-between

While step 1) and 2) are interchangable, this is the forumula they have followed since beta.

That said, I will be pleased if the changes make it to live, and it might keep me in the profession for another few weeks to crank out as many as I can.

PS - Drashk, can you confirm if pre-patch chassi fit in the new schematics? While I can deal with the fact that deeded bots will not be as good as the "new" ones, I *AM* going to be rather upset if I went and made all those chassi on your and the Devs advice and I'm stuck with a thousand knick-nacks.

Ok, this makes me very happy

Being one of the more bitter DE's on the board lately, I am happy to eat crow over prior remarks. I have no doubt that this version of theprobot is going to be nerfed down some, but if it is better than our current probot and experimentation gets you there with great resources, I am all for it.

This restores my faith that they actually are working to improve the class and make our products more attractive.

So true.... anyone remember the "nerf, unnerf, nerf, unnerf, I forgot where I was" balancing they did to the T-21 Rifle?

Yeah, I'm interested in this too. Specifically, if pre-patch chassis used to make "new" adv probot have any good or bad effect. Can you use pre-patch chassis and still experinment this high?

I'm not even so much worried about experimentation, asfrom what I understand the deed still only relies on the quality of fiberplast used in the final assemble (independent of the combat module experimentation). I am simply worried that the chassis won't fit into the schematic.

While I have several hundred (like 400) Probot deeds on vendors I'll simply reduce the price of them and I'm sure they will still sell - especially if they "fix" the non-combat modules being inserted into combat slots, as the Probots on my vendors now all have storage and/or medical service which I don't believe is intended to be available in the new Probots. Even if it is, the reduction in combat module slots to put the service module should make the stats roughly compare - either way I feel I am covered in that respect.

That's why I am not upset about the changes, and it's clear that SOMEONE is listening since it clearly was not originally intended for the Probots to get a signifigant stat enhancement in this patch (as it was just done a patch or two ago) since the Devs had Drashk post for us to "stock up" on both deeds and chassis. I'm hoping it's because of the strong negative reaction to what we were given based on the initial TC implementation - it would restore some faith in the Dev's ability to listen to players and that what we (frequent thoughtful posters) aren't here for naught, even if we don't wear our sunshine caps. This was a tuning change, not a programming one, leading me to believe even further that it was based upon our reaction.

However, it will be a WAY different story if the Chasis don't work in the new schematic...

So probot deeds no longer use good quality chem but fiberplast? Why the change?

I only had 2 prepatch Probot Chassis to test this one out on, but both worked without a flaw. I also had 3 of every other Chassis and all have worked without a hitch. From what I am seeing, the heads up should have been on the Deed form of the Probot, since building a Probot with 2 modules and the same 70ish Damage will cost more after the Publish goes Live. However now that the HAM changes have been added, everyone might want to just stock up on Chassis, Droid Brains, and other assorted parts.

I think that Audio is part right on the HAM push going in sooner than expected, but I also think that it may have been a result of a scheduled item being finished ahead of time, which seems a lot more likely to me.

Probots still use any type of Chemcial. I'm using 1000 OQ Poly in the final build on all of my droids to get that nice shiny look.

This was a mistake on my part...I only use fiber and wasn't thinking.
