Okay, so with all of these new modules coming out, I see a problem that I have had for some time will only get worse, and that is the restriction of 5 droids in your datapad. The possible combinations of different types (and uses) of droids will be greater than ever now, and I sure would like to be able to demonstrate and carry around more than 5 droids. I was hoping to set up an information session for our guild after pub 8, with demo's of the new product lines but that is hard to do when you can only hold 5.

Can we not petition to have this number increased for D.E.s ?

If we D.E.s are to be stuck with the 5 limit, then at least let us make a tool that will store datapad droids, useable by D.E.'s only. You would not be able to call the droid from the tool, just store it there while you have other types of droids in your datapad. I can't see that this would unbalance the game in any way, but that's just my opinion...

Hats off to the devs for all of their hard work on the droid profession. When I had first read about what Publish 8 would entail, it was simply the entertainer droid, exploding mouse droid and barker droid. I was starting to get fed up with my profession until I started hearing a buzz in the game about all these crazy new droids that were coming out. I dismissed most of it as unfounded rumours, as the SWG discussion boards had originally offered a very pesimistic outlook as to what we could expect.

How suprised was I to check out the discussion boards in the last few days to find out that we're going to have droids with survey, playback, harvest, structure maintenance, autorepair, scout trap and stimpack capabilities. Much more than what I was expecting, and certainly enough to keep me happy for quite some time. It seems that the devs were listening to our suggestions and were just holding back to surprise us. Apparently I will be able to make a decent living on my trade after all.

Thanks again devs.

Heya Droid Engineers!

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but as a Smuggler I am curious.

These exploding modules I keep hearing about, does anyone know what type of damage they will do? Is it Blast damage? Anything on Area of Effect? Will they go through walls and floors like everything else in this game?

Nice to see you guys get some love finally. It's gonna be fun replacing all the Droids in my inventory with newer models..

I think this publish was a great addition to the DE prof., but I really have to complain about one thing. Why are combat droids so pathetically weak. Even the best probot packed with combat modules sucks terribly in any combat role. Tanks are one thing, but I've never seen a droid match the damage of some of the middle-class CH pets.

Okay...in an effort to keep the stickies in control, I'm pulling this down.

You can still find a link to it in the Guides / FAQs stickies at the top of the DE boards.
