Methinks, perhaps, the fire they've caused here is going to take a little while to smooth out properly. And to be fair, he DID explain that it hadn't shown up because of all the internal meetings that had to take place on the subject.

Also, going into this profession myself I must say that SOE as a whole has shown me more things not to do, both to the customer and the game, then any other game I have ever played. This isn't communication. Communication means someone was listening. And as SOE has shown over and over, and not only in DE but all classes and general gameplay, they just don't care. It appears they have enough money coming into thier pockets to make them happy.

Its not done yet because Runesabre has a lot of responsibilities and taking time to post things isnt always possible. He posts when he can, but if something more important comes up, it gets bumped down the priority list. If something regarding the publish comes up tomorrow and it takes RS all day to tend to it, then it gets bumped again. It might get bumped Thursday too and it might night. It all depends on how the work day goes. Everyone here is working long hard days to get the publish out and that is the team's focus.

It is something that will get done, but you are just going to have to wait until he can do it without it impacting his normal day's efforts.

This is exactly what happens every time. We get one day of "feedback", "we're listening" and "DE is our top priority", then the devs think we've been appeased enough to go back to plotting the next CH changes behind the scenes.

They'll string us along for another month or two, then come back for more "feedback".

Yes folks, it was wrong of TH to give you a firm timeframe originally for the 'uberthread' publication ... and it's probably overly optimistic to call it an uberthread ... but if you haven't learned to take his timeline predictions with a back of rocksalt by now, then who's to blame?

Keep providing intelligent feedback, don't let them off the hook if they throw you a bunch of PR bologna ... that's all you can do.

I really wasn't compaining why we hadn't gotten it yet ...just if I had missed it going from thread to thread.

I don't care about dates missed by a day or two, or even a week, if the end result finally gets there. Out of all the "feedback" the devs have collected since launch regarding DE's, show me one thing in the game that's changed as a result of it. Think hard now.... not one thing. Not one that I can think of. We've given them plenty of feedback, it's time for them to actually do something with it.

duncje, I'm definitely not arguing with that point of view. I think if Runesabre is going to make an uber-DE post, it should be addressing the DE correspondent's "5-issues" thread point by point. It's so premature to talk about a new profession when the existing one is broken, and it's comical to ask for new input on what DE's want in the profession when they've provided an AVALANCHE of it over the last few months .... but I'd get used to it.
