the polls are starting to fill up on the forums, ive read over the dancer forum poll and there is some interesting suggestions on there already.

there is a ton of polls running as a result of this thread please take the time to post any ideas you have here or if you dont mind helping me doing a outline list of any one profs suggested ideas.

Got to say I like the increased survey module. I'd like to see a module that replaces one or more of the little handheld tools give me a bonnus on sampling range and/or lets me see mineral values without sampling.
Would make my life a lot easier.

because of a request i made there is polls proceeding in almost every prof in swg to get info to help us find what kinds of roid functions ppl want to see....and i cent get anyone in the DE world to post on this thread

well ill be transfering the info from the polls here albiet slowly i am only 1 DE after all....any help is welcome the polls arent hidden or anything, if someone whats to do an outline on any of the polls that would be great.

This is a bit confusing... you mention updating and editing to add more poll info, but there are already several lists in this post... which one is the current updated poll results? perhaps a seperate post for this?

I haven't gone thru this thread completely. So please forgive any duplications with suggestions from others. Some of the suggestions could be infringements on the abilities of existing professions and have been indicated as such.
Most Riflemen (myself included) haven't had much experience in building droids. So I'm not sure how practical some of these are. Feel free to comment.
- Lure/Decoy - Droid would have the ability to pull a target away from a Rifleman it has targeted. (Might be an infringement on Rangers)
- Auto Harvesting - A module to be added to harvesting droids. It would gain the ability to be put on constant 'harvest' mode. Whenever the player kills a creature, the droid would automatically go after and harvest the pre-programmed resource. (Requires at least Scout Creature Knowledge III to work ?)
- Accuracy - Laser Range Finder module that increases the accuracy of the shooter/owner. Shooter has to be within a certain radius (5-10m?). (Possible Squad Leader infringement)
- Shield Droid - Droid will have a radius effect PSG ability. This causes heavy battery drain when used and when the shield is hit. Short radius (5m?).Would allow crates of PSGs to be stored and it would auto pull when one is depeleted.
- Power Up - Droid can be loaded with powerups. Droid will reapply powerup to weapon in hand when existing powerup on weapon depletes. Would allow crates ofPUs to be stored and it would auto pull when one is depeleted.
- Weapons - Allow Droids be have player crafter weapons installed. Player would have to have the weapon cert of the weapon to be able to use this function. Accuracy/Speed of weapon would be a function of players mods (60-75%?). No specials allowed. Only autofire.
- Nitro Boost - Increases droid base speed so that it can keep up with players running or in vehicles. Increased battery drain when in use.
- Weapons Caddie - Droid acts as a weapons caddie reducing the weapon switch delay.

errr at the first post following an explanation of the renaming of the post is state what the following lists refer to...in this case the architects poll response was edited into/posted into the first post of this thread.

Hey Gron,
I just wanted to commend you on the job you are doing with this. I'm sorry that I haven't been able to help you out with pulling together some of the information in the different professions. I'll try to add some feedback and offer a hand with compiling some of the data, after I finish a few other items on my list of 'to do'. Between the holidays, Publish 11.3 testing, and a few other items, I've had a semi-full plate.

thanks drashk, im just trying to get a product together to show the devs that other professions have some good uses for droids in the arena of new modules and functions. there is an almost infinite amount of ideas that can be implemented, if we can get 1 added in special cases for like 5 to 10 specific profs and 2 or 3 mods for general crafters, 2-3 for general ranged and 2-3melee and one or 2 more all around user mods (like storage, everyone can use that...) then i think we'd be in perfect.........oh and of course droideka's.
