TOH DOUBLE HOCKEY STICKS TO YOU......HOLOCRON

THIS IS BULL IF OUR CLASS IS NOT MISSED UP ENOUGH.

you are going to pull our on own way for income..........

how about nerf some of the other class first, we cant sell crap as it is

and you want to nerf the only thing that we do have to sale

if you do something like then i want some compsation for my time.

1. we get no user exp so the only way we can make level is through the grind of making droids and destoring them i was in the beta and from the beta to now you have made ZERO changes other then incressing the exp. need to make level.

2. I know every one on the dev's side say that they hate to here "but in EQ" well in EQ and my pet was allways blue or darkblue to me that is all iam asking here.....but you are talking about droping our to 70% of what they are that is now way helping our class there are not like they Probot is a level one BluePrint droid it is a level 3 BluePrint droid, my track droids are usless they can get killed in like 2 hits so you are going to take the only droid that we have to fight with.

3. i want some of my rescsouces back or the ammount used to make them and any other droids droped.

4. as far as ablitiy to fight i dont know about other DE but i died like rain falls, my only to fight is through my bots. so if you do this you better let the droid eng be able to pull more then one since we can make them.

5. not to mention that we as droid eng. were spouse to have battle droids so where are they. Mabey we as droid eng. can have a battle droid eng pet only, one that only we can have.

SWG need to be fixed but make us pay cause you messed up is not my proble i was in the beta and still put in bug reports. and tell people that they should bug stuff if things happen that dont look right.

if i get band then so be i will cancel my account and go back to playing my other game and will inform people not to buy or play this game till it get fixed as many reviews are say.

thank you

P.S hopefully i wont to have to say things for nothing.

I've spent over 160,000 credits on harvester maintenance so far... and will spend at least another 700,000 credits to get master droid engineer.

I've made less then 20,000 credits on droid sales. There is almost no market for anything except Probots, and now that market will be weakened greatly.

The only way I can survive is by selling part of my resources to weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, and architects because some of them actually have a market for their goods. See a problem here?

Holo,

What will the cert system be based on? Is it possible that soon, I won't even be able to control my 25k probot that has 800 HAM without spending some skill points somewhere?

Do I understand you correctly, that probots will now be able to die permantently as well?

I think maybe I've gotten confused as to what you are doing now, what you plan on doing soon, and what you will undo in the future.

Is there going to be a recall on probots where I can get my money back? As it stands, they aren't worth 25k.

Also, could you look at the difficulty of Bounty missions now? My understanding is that with the knockdown nerf combined with this droid/pet ner, these missions will be basically impossible.

thanks.

Hi,

First off id like to comment i hit Master Droid Engineer 2 nights ago and realized hmm i just used 140 skill points, This isent kewl... that left me 110 Skill points... Basically i cant fight yet and if i wanna pick up any other side profession other than combat i must rely on my Droid... With the next nerf line im screwed my bot will die and i will die next...

Heres my thinking instead of a cert system. A. Make a non Transferable Droid more powerful than a probot like the battle droids on lok for master as it is the Final achievment for the class.

Ok lets start with the list of ore needed for the different parts of the Probot

80 steel
40 chem
50 extrusive ore

14 copper
5 inert gas
8 siliclastic ore
8 chem
2 metal
2 metal

30 metal
18 ferrous
25 metal
10 metal
15 chem
60 extrusive

15 copper
15 metal
3 steel
5 chem
5 low grade

10 metal
5 polymer
5 low grade
3 copper
3 inert gas
5 polymer

10 steel
4 copper
2 low grade
5 chem
2 inert
1 metal

35 ferous metal
8 inert gass

43 Metal
25 Inert Gas
19 Polymer
14 Low Grade Ore
14 Steel
6 Copper

Given that fact, there is a total of 615 material. Of course its also five different classes or types of items and takes roughly 10 subparts to complete one of these droids.

Sooo on the question of whether or not we could make them for 5k? Yes sure could. That would be a 8.13 credit per unit of ore markup ...not too shabby since we can buy most ore at 5 credits per. So we'd make 3 credits per. or 1800 bucks on each droid (roughly).

Now considering it takes longer to make a droid than run a destroy mission (which gives you 2500 per mission) its not very economical. Ok so lets just say we DE's are all about the craft of it (which most of us are). We'd want to make droids vs running missions anyway. So what you mention is lots of cheaper droids vs a few expensive ones? ... It could work. Depends on what they do in step number 3 (the data pad loophole) if they just make it so that you need batteries ...then not much of a market there. Any Engineer can make those. If they make it so that you NEED a de to repair your droid, then perhaps you've got something there...

I never really thought the probots where THAT powerful. I still had to avoid a LOT of creatures. The droids certainly aren't all powerful or anything.

You must not know how to 'sploit them thoroughly. You can kill ANYTHING in the game with a single probe droid, if you know the right tricks.

I have spent over 100,000 credits on probots.

*flush*

Congratulations. Now Bounty Hunter missions are impossible as well as unprofitable.

Anyone else notice that they updated the manual?

Droid Engineer: An engineer who builds droids.

It used to say something about the different catagories of droids, which included combat droids.

Holocron,

Please, please, PLEASE reconsider all of this.

The droids are now greatly weakened and will be permakilled?

Seriously, that makes them worthless! A creature handler can go tame another pet when it dies, but I cannot pay exhorbitant droid prices. I have spent more money on the DE profession than anyone I know, but as I have said before, I just can't continue to support these guys if I can't even reasonably fight with my probot.

A bounty hunter is in a bad situation with this--we have to go it solo, and can't have any help. Probots are our only helpmeets!

Perhaps a sliding scale of strength depending upon your profession and level?

Hiya first off I hit master droid engineer 2 nights ago and realized i spent a total of 140 points just so i could create every droid and mod for it.... With that being said if i wanna pick up either another crafting class or medic or entertainer im not gonna have points for a combat class... This bugs me, i normally rely on my bot to take out stuff for me yet i get no exp but just for sheer fun of it, now you say u wanna add some type of cert system.... Is this gonna cost me skill points if so dontcha think being a Master Droid Engineer should have all the certs already... My thought is remove the transfer function on any type of warbot unless u make a specific gimp one, We should beable to create a permanant Droid Pet to stand by our side once we hit master somthing that will protect us. Why not at Master you give us a Droidaka or somthin? Non Transferable but somthin = to another Professions cap capabilitys.... how about a Tanking Droid that does next to no damage but will hold aggo so melee can attack stuff without dyeing every 5 min? I see tons of solutions to the problem like temporarily combat droids can only be used by a Novice DE or somthin.... I shouldent beable to pickup a Fanfar and start makin music when i dont have the skill to use it...

As for other ideas to make this much easier to Deal with Why not make a Crafting Skillpoint bar under your general skill point bar that gives u say 70 skill points free torwards crafting Thus covering the basic artisan, But onces u hit a professions it starts to eat at yer general skill point bar? Then i could make either Armor, Weapons, or Architect stuff without never being able to pickup a melee skill tree and entertainer?

As of now a say a Teras Kasi Master and say Fencer isent overpowered.... so why couldent he also be a master weaponsmith or armor smith its not gonna make him any better on battle field. All together ppl who craft stuff give up alot of professions for lack of skill points. WE are being Penalized because we picked a Class to help other players... I hope you see what my point is here cause im running into the probelm now with 30 points left and not able to do much else exept pick a definate other class other than DE.

Hmm if they are exploitable isnt it better to fix the exploit than nerf the droid? (wont this exploit just turn up again with something else in the future?)

Moving on however, perma death/decay (and not fixed by a simple store/call) would boost the soon-to-be much smaller droid market (made smaller by the DZ70 nerf - why was that one needed?) but for that to work the droid must still be desirable to players - I hope you know what your doing with this nerf, too much and you will kill off the only predictable (albeit high end) market this profession has!

There not much else in the way of 'band aid' you can do for us (IMO) since our problems seem to be fundamental design issues (totally broken or useless modules) and therefore not trivial to fix

Finally you are aware that people can already drag an item onto a droid to store it arent you? If you make that storage module specific you kill off any use of a stock droid (and you are aware how bugged storing items in droids is right?)
