Two more months for that and then maybe another 6 weeks for the new modules? so July if we are lucky.. But I decided to make my choice know by canceling..

Well, the DZ70 hardly qualifies as a combat droid in its current form. When I'm bored I make a few of them and sick 'em on Chubas so that the Chubas don't get depressed about always losing to newbies.

Besides, having an alternative to the Probot as a combat sidekick would be cool. Something that works hand-to-hand would be cool. Or maybe something that does more damage but has less armor (or HAM) to compensate.

Personally, I dont care about combat droids at all. I would prefer utility droids AND A LOT OF BUG FIXES in Publish 7 and combat droids after that.

Personally I was against the whole 'high level combat droids' thing (because it just donest fit the timeline) but I wish the devs would lose this whole 'combat droid focus' that they still seem to be clinging to right here and now.

Its been said about but <CL10 combat droids just wont be worth using, hell I got asked by my team the other night to put my CL10 creature away because they got fed up using stim packs to get its ass off the floor after every fight.

While I'd like to see decommissioned combat chassis that we could use as 'normal' droids (and hell stick a combat module in them if you really wanted them to fight) I do think that the devs (and many of the players) are just too pre-occupied with combat droids and <CL10 ones just wont cut it so why waste the time.......

According to my secret sources, we should see details on Publish 7 droid changes soon (my guess would be by next Wednesday at the latest).

My assumption from what I've heard is that the final design review is going on right now, along with apportioning the work. I would further guess about 3 weeks of coding before it hits TC, then another 2-3 weeks from there to Live. Murphy works at every software development house.

Hopefully they will follow through. I am going to attempt optimism for a week and see what happens.

I agree, I was just saying that I can see the potential for some interesting CL 10 combat droids as well.

In the next two publishes, after crackdown, we are focusing specifically on Droids. We plan on implementing combat droids (< level 10) in P7, and Utility Droids in P8.

My apologies for not posting here more often, it is a big game with alot of moving parts. And I am sorry if you are pissed as a group about my November quote, I hope I have explained, and I hope you understand, that things change. Your publish has been moved back one, and it is next.

You have all of our development attention now.

Well, from that tone, it appears he has arrived with a hate for DE. Before all this, he disliked us, now he just plain hates us.

I can't wait to see what the nerfs and ignorant additions are for the DE.

I am sorry to say, but it appears by reading through the forum that the "Utility Droids" are going to add this skill or add to that skill for a person...That is NOT a utility droid....that is a "Stat/Effectiveness Modifying Droids" I wish they would get this right:

A UTILITY DROID does stuff!

  1. Deliveries (don't got it)

  2. Pickups (don't got it)

  3. Tends Harvesters (don't got it)

  4. Reports Information (don't got it)

  5. Carries Stuff (got it)

  6. Picks Locks (don't got it)

  7. Programs Other Droids (don't got it)

  8. Greets Visitors (don't got it)

  9. Offers its Own Ideas and Recommendation whether you want it or not. (don't got it) [C-3PO: "...and I do recommend youaccept his offer.... He agrees!"] {This is from Return of The Jedi when Leia is in disguise rescuing Han Solo}

Don't get me wrong. Stat/Effectiveness Modifying Droids are nice and will be a good addition...but I think they misunderstood our request for "Utility Droids."

I sure hope one of them takes a lookat this.

Yeah, I agree. Maybe they could have them do special attacks commandable by the droid owner.

Besides, I am not gonna complain about lvl 10 Roger-Roger Battle Droids -- especially if they give MDEs and extra one! Woot! Either way people would be jazzed about the Roger-Rogers.

Read his post along with the one immediately prior, where the poster mentions picking up a pitchfork and looking for a target to stick...

Taking a well-deserved vacation from his successful Droid Engineering business, Master Rho can be found puttering around the galaxy.

Amen. Brother. I have not dropped, but I have not done any serious crafting in like two weeks. Need to mail out apologies to the customers.

If things keep going the way they are, and our Correspondent continues to support it we MDE will fall in suit with Bio-Engineers. We make products for only one combat class, effectively a wet nurse supplier for a specific droid combat class.

Personally I would be very impressed with our Correspondent if he appealed to SOE to give we current MDE a full Master Crafting Class respeck. It truly is the honorable thing to do.
