Well that's just another two month before Publish 7 will hit TestCenter and we'll see what the statement is worth. Of course they'll say that most of the changes will be in Publish 8...
I don't think anyone here want's to call the Reds or G in particular a liar, but, as he said himself, things change. I for myself won't expect a thing before i've seen it hit the life servers.
I agree. I'm not banking on anything till its on the TC and even then not until it goes live.

Seriously, I'm in the floor right now laughing so hard. How many times have we heard that line?
Well, if more under CL10 droids are the "big feature" of the patch, and it will be at least two months before we get any new utility droids, I do think it's just about time to pack up the DE hat for good.
I ran off about 800 Probots yesterday (well, it finished yesterday, lol - took about four days using five factories), and those should last awhile. I may hang on to the skills until we get the notes for the next test publish in case they actually fixsome of the 100's of bugs or make something useful, but I have little faith that the profession will ever be given the attention it needs until the space expansion, when it undoubtedly will be a requirement for an elite-elite profession and the attention will be slathered on that instead of DEs.
I made a lot of money off of droids - but in a game where money falls out of mission terminals in buckets that's not enough to keep me in the profession. I find it very hard to take pride in my work when I have to apologize for something or other with every droid I make (Sorry, you can't name your Protocol droid, sorry, the repair module doesn't work in that droid, sorry, droid repair tools don't exist...).
