Thread: Official Answer regarding the armor not stacking

I'm hoping to get the chance to spend some time on TC after I make my rounds and run a full test on all of the droids capable of stacking armor. AfterI finish up the test I will send my findings to QA and the DEV that handles our issues. Hopefully, the problem can be tracked down, if it hasn't been already, so that a hotfix can make it out before Publish 7 hits TC.
I've been kind of lagging on game play over the last week with work and an issue that I am having with my video card not wanting to display correctly.
Drashky-doodle,
Is all this crap on the TC yet?
OK, I spent some of my precious erco.
They don't stack. Peroid.
Heehee. Its hard to keep track of the changing deadlines of our fate. You meantioned needing to test on the TC. Got confused.

Whosa whatsy?
I'm not sure what it is that you are refering to. Publish 7 maybe? From what I have read, Publish 7 won't be on TC until March, or at least after TH gets back into action. Thunderheart really keeps things flowing in the TC fourm as well as the Correspondents forum during patch time.

Its a patch/pre-patch issue. Some one else reported that pre-patch lvl4 armor mods still stack to 40%.

They don't. I made an advanced R3 and an advanced R2 with a pre-patch chassis, eachwith two pre-patch level 4 armor modules. No stacking.
I may have been responsible for this misunderstanding.
Droids that were constructed pre-patch (totally finished, I.E. in deed form) retainedtheir M40% ratings, even if tamed after the patch. I did a run of 700-800 droids before the patch, and they come out exactly as they did before when tamed now.
I metioned this in the original thread regarding this issue - that completed droids that are newly tamed have the proper stats, not that pre-patch components used in new droids made any difference.
As to TH's comments, LOL, yeah...I would take what he says with a grain of Tattoine sand when it comes to knowledge of the DE profession. This is the man who told us how neato our "clear domed R2's" were. Experimentation may be working slightly differently, but it still does not DO anything in most cases. We know that armor rating is not tied to the quality rating on an armor module - and it's becoming increasingly frustrating that the person in charge of communicating with us doesn't even understand the basic concepts of the profession.
This is aHUGE issue for most DE's - and the Dev team shouldn't be waiting for our corrispondent to get on TC to test it out - it's important enough that THEY should be looking into it, not waiting for a non-paid player representative to get the time.

The person reporting that was me....
Yes, pre-crackdown patch crated lvl 4 Armor modules still produce Medium Armor, 40% resists. If you don't belive me, come to Gorath...and I'll show you. Post-patch crated lvl 4 Armor modules produce Medium Armor, 15% resists.
*bump*
I made some Lvl 4's 82% experimented here are the stats
Armor Module Rating 8
Integrity 810
Mechanism Quality 10
I also have pre-publish Lvl 4's here are the stats (made with the same resources)
Armor Module Rating 0
Integrity 0
Mechanisum Quality 10
Will let you know what happens when I toss em in a droid.
