I wrote TH and told him about the armor modules not stacking anymore, and asked him if this was intencional or just another bug. Here is his response:

They should stack, but crafting quality plays into it - - make sure you get good resources and good modules...

take care
th

Well... if quality actually means anything, this is something new we should test...

This is not correct - TH is wrong, as far as I can tell from the experiments preforemd and reported here.

I haven't tested this much lately since I work from crated L6 Armor.

I'll have a look but I suspect that this is probably just /bugged.

I suppose I could use some of my treasured Erco Duralloy steel to test this - naw, I'll let somebody else burn some 200cpu steel to do it

However, if you go back and read the thread that I referenced, some of the modules were pretty darn high quality, and they still didn't stack.

So, given what that thread says, I do not beleive that TH is correct.

It wouldn't be the first time he made a mistake

Sketh is correct about TH being incorrect...

My initial post on that thread basically echoed what TH said, but then I did some testing myself using good stuff for Armor4's.

They simply didn't stack.

could be part of the changes coming up. maybe they just stack strangely, or have really weird bell curves. Instead of stacking 3/4 we should try stacking 2 level 1s and 3 level 1s and see what happens.

thoughi think its /bugged too

My experiments also confirm that quality has no bearing on the outcome.

I'm afraid TH is wrong, and this is indeed a bug (or some complication introduced as part of something yet to come). I'm almost certain it is not intended, whatever the case.

Its a patch/pre-patch issue. Some one else reported that pre-patch lvl4 armor mods still stack to 40%.

They don't. I made an advanced R3 and an advanced R2 with a pre-patch chassis, eachwith two pre-patch level 4 armor modules. No stacking.

I'm hoping to get the chance to spend some time on TC after I make my rounds and run a full test on all of the droids capable of stacking armor. AfterI finish up the test I will send my findings to QA and the DEV that handles our issues. Hopefully, the problem can be tracked down, if it hasn't been already, so that a hotfix can make it out before Publish 7 hits TC.

I've been kind of lagging on game play over the last week with work and an issue that I am having with my video card not wanting to display correctly.
