*tut* boys!
flower is a colloquialism, try living in Buxton for a while and every other word will be flower. All the other remaining words will of course be honey.
Honey.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but harvesting mods don't stack. You only need one mod and generally you can get the rating between 15 and 20. Putting more than one harvesting mod in a droid isa waste, right? As for the droids running away...mine don't. Don't know what to say there.

That is incorrect. The higher the rating on the droid, the better the droid performs, as long as the droids skill is above your own.

& to clarify, they absolutely *DO* stack, so 6 in an AR3 is the highest rating you'll get.

I don't have the exact numbers on me but if a player has a rating of 70 and is using a droid that has a rating of 35, he/she will get no significant bonus when the droid harvests, but as the droid goes up in rating from 35 to 70 he/she will see an increasing amount harvested above his/her own skill - to around 20%
Does this mean that a droid at the same rating as a player simply harvests 20% more? I dunno
Does this mean thata droid with a certain rating would harvest the same amount of resource from a creature no matter who was using it? I dunno
It could be that the percieved relation between the user's skill and the droid's bonus is not there, but they happen to be working within the same mathematical framework - which would at least end up having some common data points along a fixed and independent calculation for each.
Does anyone know the exact mechanics of these things?

I always put one combat mod in my R3 harvest bots to keep them from running away. I was under the impression they run away even if not grouped. This is the first i have heard of this solution. If this is true that they can be grouped and not run away I'm definately chaning the way i make them b/c right now they have a Rating of 76.
Harvest Modules stack.
There is a thread that explains how the droids rating effects the amount harvested but you will need to use your search thingy b/c i cant remember the name of the thread.
Later!

By the way, to explain it a little better, the amount the droid harvests is based on your PERSONAL harvest rating. If you only have novice scout you will not see much of an improvement maybe 5-7%.
A Master Scout will see the 20% improvement with a maxed out Harvest droid.

It's not 1 to 1 ratio.
A friend of mine is master ranger.
Tested a droid with a rating of 85. Does about the same as him.
Tested a droid with a rating of 103. Does harvest 1 to 3 more resource.
But he does use it, not because of the resource bonus but because it does help him.

The Search button is a powerful tool:

sevardos, perhaps your droid is being hit by the rancor's AoE bleeds and dizzy kd moves. a lot of the rancors have moves that will hit everything around them, including droids that you aren't grouped with. try watching your combat spam and see if the move the rancor hits your droid with is a regular attack or one of their area effect specials.
