I never group with my droid and it still runs away. That's not the solution (if there is one).
Really flower? That's odd. It's not a probot (or a DZ) is it? Doesn't have any combat modules in it? If not, you may have found your own unique issue, worth a good 10 points in my book ![]()

Report on harvester droid show an increase of max 20% compared to the user skill.
Basically, when your skill increase, the droid skill increase too until the harvest rate of the droid is lower than yours.
It's to prevent that novice scout harvest more than master ranger.
The idea is it does help, but doesn't replace use of skill points.

Flower? LOL
I use my harvester droid constantly and religiously. Nope, it's not a battle droid / probot (have one of those - rarely use it). My harvester droid is always ungrouped, never seen the advantage of grouping with it - unless I'm missing something and if anyone could enlighten on the advantages of grouping my droid, be appreciated.
It seems to depend on the mob you're fighting. Non-aggressive mobs don't trigger it. If you're fighting aggressive mobs that are white/yellow - rarely runs. However, red mobs like Rancors? - ALWAYS runs. Commanding it to stay, etc doesn't help unless you tell it to stay very far from where you're fighting and isn't in the middle of the fight with you. As soon as you have more than one mob on you, it will run.
Just commenting on the previous claim that not grouping with it resolves the issue. It doesn't.
Flower. hehe
