1) Would the ablity to add Combat Modules be acceptable for the following droids?

  1. MSE - Yes(Self destroying bombs only)

  2. R-Series Droids - No

  3. Treadwell - No

  4. Power Droid -No

  5. LE Repair Droid - Yes (Low)

  6. Surgical Droid - yes low

  7. Protocol Droid - no

  8. Binary Load Lifter - no

When I say no I mean I dont want to see a blaster strapped to it, but non standard combat would be good for each. I.e. Treadwell barries mines, or a power droid shorts the circuits of a turret or two BLLs tip over a AT-ST.

2) Which would you prefer?

  1. Each Droidto havea specific purpose ( I.e. Power Droids power other droids)

  2. Droid/Module Combos (I.e. LE Repair Droid/Repair Module = Repair Droid white bar damage)

3) Do you want level limitaions placed on each droid? (I.e. MSE Droids can only have X Level Modules installed)

Yes, but only after droids have more worth.

4) What is your single biggest 'Wish List' Item?

Profession Inter-Dependence Balancing, (either lower DE use of non-DE components orincrease the other crafters usage)

1) and 2) combined (as a compromise) allow combat module tobe fitted to all droids but have the ability determined by the chassis type ie 10HAM for MSE, damage for protocol 30-35 etc

3) No

4) Removal of the general cluster module/exploit

#4 My wish list item

Just a thought I had but a Gernade Launcher Module would be nice. A limited number of gernades would be placed in the droids Item Storage and the droid would have a launch command with a modifer to determine how many gernadesto launch. IE= /Launch (would launch 1 gernade) /launch 3/launch all (would launch untill gernades run out or current target is dead). Just a thought I had.

1) Would the ablity to add Combat Modules be acceptable for the following droids?

  1. MSE - No. Duh.

  2. R-Series Droids - Depends on the combat, but overall, no.

  3. Treadwell - Perhaps some very, very weak melee, but no.

  4. Power Droid - Nope.

  5. LE Repair Droid - Yes, these droids are capable of self defense.

  6. Surgical Droid - I'm sure these droids have an equivalent of the hippocratic oath.

  7. Protocol Droid - With the right personality chips, perhaps.

  8. Binary Load Lifter - These are meant to be stupid, but it should be possible to upgrade them.

2) Which would you prefer?

  1. Each Droidto havea specific purpose ( I.e. Power Droids power other droids)

  2. Droid/Module Combos (I.e. LE Repair Droid/Repair Module = Repair Droid white bar damage)

The first is the better choice, but there should be overlap. All R droids should have repairs, but the R2 would be better with fighters, the R4 better with speeders, and so on.

3) Do you want level limitaions placed on each droid? (I.e. MSE Droids can only have X Level Modules installed)

Is this not there already? There should be limitations. I'm sure an MSE isn't complex enough to adapt to a high end crafting station or combat module.

4) What is your single biggest 'Wish List' Item?

Droids are being treated like pagers: Unclip them from your belt when you need them, put them back when you're done. Something needs to be done to make them the companions and assistants that they are meant to be.

As a general rule, no, I think that adding weapons to most of these would be pretty stupid. The humanoid ones might be beefed up and carry weapons, perhaps, but otherwise I just don't see an R2 or Power droid with a blaster. Sure, since an astromech is a rolling toolkit, it might carry a taser, perhaps, or a little circular saw that I suppose could do a LITTLE damage. But these are simply not combat units.

2) Which would you prefer?

1. Each Droid to have a specific purpose ( I.e. Power Droids power other droids)
2. Droid/Module Combos (I.e. LE Repair Droid/Repair Module = Repair Droid white bar damage)

I believe that every single droid chassis should have some innate purpose of it's own, and that a subset of droids should accept additional functional modules. A repair droid should have a built-in ability to fix machinery. An astromech droid should have built-in astronavigation and vehicle repair functions. Granted, I'm asking for functions to support non-existent game systems, and maybe that's part of the problem.

3) Do you want level limitaions placed on each droid? (I.e. MSE Droids can only have X Level Modules installed)

In my opinion, this is not terribly necessary, provided that other changes go in. If we retain the Cluster module stacking bug, and we retain the concept of 'no innate function' in droids, then we might just need to add such an artificial limitation... But I'm an ENGINEER, so I don't think we should bee TOO limited, as part of the art of engineering is the art of doing the supposedly impossible! Give basic MSE droids a reason to exist, and then let the advanced ones accept an additional mission in life if necessary.

4) What is your single biggest 'Wish List' Item?

Lordy, that's a tough one... Probably, since it was a collaborative effort between several of us, the whole 'holographic recording and communication suite' idea. I think it would be a lot of fun, and terribly 'star-warsy'.

1) Would the ablity to add Combat Modules be acceptable for the following droids?
  1. MSE No, except the bomb idea.
  2. R-Series Droids No.
  3. Treadwell No.
  4. Power Droid No.
  5. LE Repair Droid No.
  6. Surgical Droid No.
  7. Protocol Droid No.
  8. Binary Load Lifter No.

If the MSE bomb idea were implimented as a module, then it could probably be used in any droid type...effect would be the same, but obviously a BLL bomb would be a pricey weapon.

2) Which would you prefer?

  1. Each Droid to have a specific purpose ( I.e. Power Droids power other droids)
  2. Droid/Module Combos (I.e. LE Repair Droid/Repair Module = Repair Droid white bar damage)

#1. I think some of the droids (Power & Surgical) should have innate capabilities that provide a benefit to people buying them. The modules should increase and/or add functionality. (So an R2 with a lvl-6 med would work as it does now, but a surgical with a lvl-6 should be better.)

3) Do you want level limitaions placed on each droid? (I.e. MSE Droids can only have X Level Modules installed)

Yes. A lvl-6 medical module requires more resources and has a more 'intricate' construction process than an ADV-MSE! Not sure what my point is exactly, but Luke bought R2 and 3PO for specific capabilities. Granted 3PO is a protocol droid... so that doesn't really fit SWG anyway. As for R2, he could have just paid less and get an MSE for the same functionality? No...

4) What is your single biggest 'Wish List' Item?

Making the new combat droids usable by everyone. However the community decides to make this possible and regulated is another topic. (So newbies can't buy the uber droideka right away..) Dammit Jim, I'm a Droid Engineer, not a Droideka Commander!

  1. MSE- Yes, but only for things like bombs or mines.

  2. R-Series Droids- Yes

  3. Treadwell- No, its an ag droid

  4. Power Droid- No

  5. LE Repair Droid- Possible. I dont think ALL humanoid droids should get combat though

  6. Surgical Droid- No

  7. Protocol Droid- Yes

  8. Binary Load Lifter- Yes. That would be infinitely better than what it is used for now :-)

2) Which would you prefer?

  1. Each Droidto havea specific purpose ( I.e. Power Droids power other droids)

  2. Droid/Module Combos (I.e. LE Repair Droid/Repair Module = Repair Droid white bar damage)

I believe that each droid should have a specific purpose. Otherwise, we will end up with the same "mix and match" similarity that we have now which would totally defeat the reason behind each droid chassis. For continuity, I believe each droid should have a limited number of available modules/ stations that they can have installed. I know that isn't too popular though from a marketability point of view.

3) Do you want level limitaions placed on each droid? (I.e. MSE Droids can only have X Level Modules installed)

No. As I noted above, I would think that module limitations should be applied, but I see no benefit to saying you can't install a higher level module in that droid type. That would make some unitsand combos completely worthless.

4) What is your single biggest 'Wish List' Item?

For me, being a fairly new addition to the DE ranks, I would have to say it would be additional droid chassis and modules. Without a much expanded list of items we can produce, we eventually fall into being "niche" suppliers of droids and will never really be able to have droids a popular part of the game.

A combination of the two. I would like to see the LE Repair come with a "built in" repair module ( that works! ) and a surgical droid come with a surgical module.

3) Do you want level limitaions placed on each droid? (I.e. MSE Droids can only have X Level Modules installed)

No, it's really more of a cosmetic thing and some customers like the variety of the chassis.

4) What is your single biggest 'Wish List' Item?

More functionality for droids. Entertainment modules, slicing modules, surveying modules, hunting modules, etc.
