Thread: Bounty Hunter Droid prices
Let me get this straight Jarsamuelson,
You used to buy seekers from vendors at 200cr each and each seeker took one spot in your inventory.
Now, you can buy a stack of 10 seekers for 1k up to 2k (if you do the math that is equal to or less than what you paid for them at the old vendors) in addition they only take up one spot in your inventory with the new droids as opposed to ten spaces used up with the oldvendor droids.
To summerize: you are paying less for the droids you need today and they do not take up as much space in your inventory. What is your complaint with the DE's? We are saving you money and inventory space. Please clarify what your complaint is.
Now if you have run into a DE that is selling the seekers for way more than 2k each my suggestion is to find another DE and I am sure you will find the prices more to your liking.
Seeker Crates 4k (800cr/Seeker cluster)
Probe Crates 5k (1000cr/Probe cluster)
Doesnt take me any more work to make the Post-Patch droids as it did the Pre-Patch. This is about WAY BELOW the price BH's were paying the vendors if you take into the account they have charges now.
It takes a DE30 minutes to create a Post-Patch Seeker/Probe cratein a factory. 30 minutes to sell a 4-5k item isn't that bad. Hell if you didnt want to do factory runs you could probably knock out 100 droids in 30 minutes.
Originally, I had the Post-Patch set at 10k/crate of Seekers and 25k/crate of Probes. This is too much. Sure I sold 20-30 crates of each... but that was all.Not to mention the nasty tells/emails from the BH community either.
I may increase my prices to 6k for a Seeker crate and 7k for a Probe crate though as most of my factory time is being eaten up by making these things. The demand is there. The supply is lagging behind though.
I keep my vendor fully stocked with BH droids. I sell quite a few to Bounty Hunters in my galaxy.
Arakyds: 1500cr
Seekers: 600cr
I'm satisfied with these prices and the Bounty Hunters keep buying from me so I guess they're happy too...
10 credits per resouce = gouge? Is somebody ignorant or just plain stupid? Do you realize that nice weapon you probably own, the weaponsmith could of made up to 350 credits per resource off of? That's the ratio for the going rate on my server for T21 rifles. 350-1 credits per resouce. I don't sell anything unless it has at least a 10-1 credits ratio on it. I make some of the best droids on my server, and I offer anything and everything somebody could ever want. I fully experiment every subcomponent even though people say it doesn't do anything.I have tutorials on how to use your droid, I answer any question a person has, I repair and recharge for free. I mean I take care of all my customers (who really become friends) and that's what it is all about. It is not about having the lowest prices in the galaxy, its knowing your craft, making a little profit to give you interesting things to do when you aren't crafting, etc. I just don't understand why folks charge so little for the hard work they do, I am a master droid engineer who practiced out every bit of droids until I became a master DE costing me approx. 3.5 million credits and a month and half. If folks want to act like 10-1 is a gouge,I beg everybody to check out what the real cost is on other items they buy from other type crafters.
I sell them at 2k per seeker, 2.5k per arakyd. This makes a seeker just as expensive as from the original NPC vendor, an arakyd, about half as expensive. (Reckoning per charge here).
They sell pretty good. I know it's not the rock bottom price some people charge, but, it takes a lot of my factory time to make a batch of seekers, a lot more to make a batch of arakyds. Time is money, even in a game.
I consider these to be very good prices, also considering one crate of seekers is 50 charges in at most two inventory slots, a crate of arakyds, 25 charges in again at most two slots.
I haven't had complaints from my customers yet. (I'm sure I'll get them now
I sell with the following prices, and I sell them regularly (meaning I have to work to keep my vendor stock, a GOOD thing).
- 10 charge Seeker: 1000
- 5 charge Probe: 2500
- Crate of Seekers (5, 10 charge Seekers): 7500
- Crate of Probes (5, 5 charge Probes): 15000
Yes, that's an Increase in price of crates? Why? Because I don't grind on pratice wasting resources that could work toward my profit. Seekers and Probes are a great source of my experience. If they Buy in Bulk right now it hurts my experience. So Iencourage the purchase of singles to help me gain exp. I don't want them to buy crates, not yet at least. BUT, after I'm master my pricing scheme will reverse.
I'm currently 3/2/0/4 and almost 3/3/0/4. I want full exp from making these, and10% of the exp I wouldget from crates doesn't help me... So I guess you can say I price based on what helps me get exp the most.

I don't have any complaints of most DE's. I found most of your responses to be great. Going by some of the other boards I expected to need my flame suit on to survive. You guys are treuly professional
I have no issue with droids that sold for 200cr each to cost 500 or 600 from a DE, that is to be expected. The few DE's I have contacted lately on my server now want 5000 - 6000 per seeker. They see the 10 use droids as x10 cost. Most of you have given great prices.
I don't see how a stack of 10 is saving me much inventory space, so the free space is no issue. I got used to having 25 droids, 10 spice, 10 sunburn , 10 weapons, armor, and a travel pack.
My original complaint, some DE's on some servers have upped the cost by 10. These were put in to help the BH do missions by not running out if a DE was low on droids ( how many of youhad 30 for sale at 1 time when they were 1 use?
and to reduce our cost. This was the only response we even heard a whisper about from DEV.
Alot of people I talk to ( not DE's) seem to think we make great money. Round trip to Endor 4400, droids 2k, 1k on spice and sunburn. Thats assuming a mark doesn't move to another planet mid hunt, then add an other 1k travel or so.The average mission pays 6-9k. Do the math and you'll see why bounty hunters still complain about cost.
I didn't come here to complain. I came to state a reason. Those who are now charging 10 times the price will give BH's more to complain about and a cry for the droid terminals back.
If you have fair prices, I hope you get lots of buisness. I for one will buy from you
If anyone reading this is on Intrepid let me know
P.S. I am curious of the few selling on peruse now sell probots for 15k PER vitality, just a thought and comparison
I also wanted to say I hope you get your response from Dev soon, all we got was the 12k HAM marks would be easier (10k HAM now) and our droids would have multiple uses.
I feel for you guys currently and hope Dev gives you some love soon, or there may not be any DE's left ![]()
I think 2 of us were on Intrepid, shop wps in signature. (shameful self-promotion) ![]()
Your point on the Probots lost me.
My point on probots ( I don't expect this, just a comparison) was now that they don't perm death again, will we see cost x100 based on probot per use. They have a vitality of 100 and drop some when they die. Just an example on why a Bh shouldn't pay a per use cost on seekers. A per use cost on probots would lead to a heated debate, just a comparison of what I see on the Bh boards with seekers.
I'll send you a tell on Intrepid
