In my experience it doesn't matter what the deed says the droids HAM and damage is, the end droid always come out the same, 810 for Probots, 820 for Adv Probots, I've haven't noticed any increase in damage, I haven't looked a speed so this may work, but given that the other two don't I wouldn't hold out much hope. I assume that when you tame the droid it creates a cookie cutter droid with default stats, then adds the modules to it, rather than getting the HAM and damage information from the deed.

This is sad, as has been said the difference in damage even a change in resources makes to a weapon is massive, I've made 2x-62 damage CDEFs with Good Resources and Experimentation, the base is 17-35 that's an 80% increase in damage. Or piddly 1% on the deed that doesn't come out in the final bot is an insult, plus people will look at the deed, see the HAM/Damage and assume that's what they're getting, it feels like you're lying to your customers if the end droid isn't the same.

Since I only have one Experiment point for droids, and since it fails 80-90% of the time I never experiment on my droids anyway, and since it makes no difference to the end droid, it would hardly be worth the effort even if I did have more points.

I experiment all of the time, just to see what happens when I do so. I've come up with some pretty wacky results, like a Level 4 medical with 2 Amazing results that ended up with a -6 for the mecahanical rating and a 9 for the function. When ever I make factory schematics, I always try to shoot for a mechanical rating of 5, which is the best that can be had on my server do to low qualities so far. The one module that I will always destroy if it has a 0 rating or below is the crafting modules. It may be only perceptual, but I've challenged some of my customers to craft a few items using a Private crafting station at 26.xx and then to try using the droid crafting station. Out of 20 such tests, all agreed that the Droid station seemed to offer a better result.

Well I know we cant take it as "solid" but the devs did mention adding droidekas during the radio show they did.. *shrug*

Assuming its the battle droid we all hope for, it's cert should be on the Master of any Elite profession.. That should gate it enough not to be seen anywhere.... Also I would like to see shield mods (ala powerup type item make from armorsmithing), And they should be insanley resource heavy, raising the price, gating them even more

I remember what was said there as well, but take a look here

What you are looking for is the post by Shug_Ninx . Read the entire post, but save item #10 for last. =/

Just because of its lack of content compared to the rest of the post worries me that they have no clue as to how to implement such a promise. Besides, wasn't it also said that the next big issue that the DEVs would be working on, after the big 'mission change' and content patch almost a month, was the issues plaguing the DE profession./shrug
