Thread: When are these bugs going to be fixed?

Jenden I have been a DE since beta 2. Early on we had a great combat droid that sold like hot cakes at release. Well Devs felt like nerfing them. Afterwards, each major patch that came out bugged the DE profession in some way. Remember when we couldn't craft a single droid back in September of 2003 right after a patch? Seems everytime we get things to sell the Devs break it or nerf it. To be honest I have no idea why I have gone this long as DE. Maybe some slim hope that this profession will live up to its potential. My hope is running real thin. At least get a Dev in here to post what is going on. Our profession seems to get broke more often then others and I am fed up with it. But I am sure if by some miracle you get a Dev to post here he will post something along the lines, "We are working on the issue and will get your bugs taken care of as soon as we fix all other professions". Its crazy, how long do we have to go like this? Armor borked, can not craft armors 5 and 6. HAM is nerfed, detonation droids are borked, the list goes on and on. Ohh yeh, I heard somewhere seekers or Akyards don't work on the new Wookie planet also? Anyway, there is my rant.

Also the fact bacta spray and a few other "cleric spells" work on droids too. That and droids hams being reduced from beta. I got a probot with about 29XXHAM and the new oneI made for someone barly had HAM above 23XX, In teasting i think that droids had a HAM boost by about 1k but i could be wrong.

The devs were literally pulling like 18 hour days 7 days a week for a while. They do need a break.

Right now the bugs that are being fixed are more bugs aimed at "everybody" not one specific profession. So we will probably see more bug fixes for quests and balanae and such first. Then we will get other things that help everybody, possible DEs could get love here, if better combat droids are added to protect crafters for example. After that, then individual profession bugs will be fixed.

Or best hope is forJenden to be able to convince them the Droid fixes are good for everybody and not just us.

Thats what I'm shooting for, and thankfull I've got some backup (BH's/smugglers aren't too happy about broken bomb droids, the rest of the artisans are looking for anything to up their survivability rate, etc)

Hey Jenden, while your here, I want to make sure you know about a bomb droid "issue." We want them fixed, but this needs to be considered. You can paralyze or stasis somebody and send in multipel bomb droids, and they just stand there and watch.

While good for DE's, having an instant way to kill anybody with nothing they can do is bad for the game.

I don't have an easy answer, but what if the droids could damage the other droids? Meaning the first one could blow up another if it was to close. Would have to be a shared tef issue. This would let droids still be used for first attacks and amubshes, but makethem very hardto use in big groups.

Wouldnt that be rather useless? then they just generate the droid after the first got off

maybe a damage reduction to like 1k PvP damage per droid? or a kind of bomb droid damage timer (no more than 1 damaging droid per minute) ?

Not really, because when the first droid blew up, it would break stasis or paralyze. Then the person could heal, fight or whatever. The problem with the system as is, is that the person is held helpless while multiple droids can go off at once, or close enough that no action can be taken.

Its been a bit, and I haven't seen a single update to actually fix alot of the droid issues that we have? Is it ever going to happen?

I don't mean to be impatient but, I see everything else for every other class being fixed and barely anything for a droid engineer. In reality we should be one of the first to get fixed since DROIDS should be all over the glaxies!!! Cities should be filled with them!!!

So why aren't we getting our combat, storage, det..ect fixed?

Seriously, I'm getting sick of making seeker droids, and having my storage filled with det droids that don't function anymore and making entertainer droids that barely sell.

((sorry to come so straight forward, just a bit frustrated, that after all these several downtimes, nothing for DE has actually been fixed))

im waiting this out....im going the respec route to wait it out. The only other option was quiting SWG and id rather not.Originally many of us waited and were rewarded with new modules and bug fixes. This update unfortunatly shot us back to the days of initial release as far as droid content and bugs are concerned. Given how long it took the first 2 years to get as far as we did i found it impossible to keep patience with DE. Im very thankful others here are keeping up the fight and staying on as DE's but more irritated that im not at least hearing timetables on thse fixes (not that they really help that much but even still...).

Of course you can always try another crafting prof or some other profs...but i understand your frustrations, i loved being a DE and those that ussually chose to embrace it do so out of love of what droids symbolize (in SW).

Keep up the good fight guys ill be back when we get fixed (again).

Well really what I would like to know is how long is this vacation?

a week? 2 weeks?

Seriously where I work if I left things unfinished I would have lost my job twice over, no if ans are buts. And would not be allowed to take a vacation even if I put in 20 hour shifts. And seriously in the business I am in, there are many times where I haveto put in 6 days a week 16-18 hours.

I know where the Devs come from, I do and understand that a break is indeed needed. But its been how long now?

Passed patch, what is it only 2 minor fixes?

Is this vacation, a month? When will fixes actually come through? When will we see patch updates posted that actually have fixes, other then minor things? Or is this going to keep continuing at the rate it's going?

There are way to many bugs, just way to many to just leave it up in arms and hope that it gets better, Seriously. I just hope that when ever they get back things start getting fixed.

I like the game, I enjoy it. But I'm not here to play beta. I'm not like the others who are all like I support the old combat and all that. I like to go with the flow but I can't go with the flow when things aren't working properly. It erks me.

Things are starting to pick back up. Some of the devs have been sent off to E3, but most of the rest are back (as far as I can tell... don't actually have work rosters or anything).

They deserve a vacation. They're no good to us dead.

Besides, I've paroused the other boards and we're not the only ones on the backburner. Heck, creature handler XP was inadvertantly capped at like 20k, effectively halting CH growth. At least we're functioning!

If they're dead they can not make more bugs.
