Its been a bit, and I haven't seen a single update to actually fix alot of the droid issues that we have? Is it ever going to happen?
I don't mean to be impatient but, I see everything else for every other class being fixed and barely anything for a droid engineer. In reality we should be one of the first to get fixed since DROIDS should be all over the glaxies!!! Cities should be filled with them!!!
So why aren't we getting our combat, storage, det..ect fixed?
Seriously, I'm getting sick of making seeker droids, and having my storage filled with det droids that don't function anymore
and making entertainer droids that barely sell.
((sorry to come so straight forward, just a bit frustrated, that after all these several downtimes, nothing for DE has actually been fixed))

I think part of the slowdown lately is that a lot of devs are taking some vacation time right now. Most of them were working pretty much around the clock to get the CU/RoW out, so now they needed a bit of a break. There are still people there working, but I think its something of a skeleton crew.

Sure they need a vacation , they had to work really hard to mess things up even worse than before and still not fix old problems. But dont forget there is alot of new stuff coming out that will be so much better than before.. but that will have to wait for when they get back from vacation from working really hard to fix the old bugs, and the new bugs they created

Take it easy. They deserve a vacation. They're no good to us dead.
Besides, I've paroused the other boards and we're not the only ones on the backburner. Heck, creature handler XP was inadvertantly capped at like 20k, effectively halting CH growth. At least we're functioning!

Yeah, they're on vacation. They're off playing WoW at home. How else are they supposed to come up with more content and ideas to improve the SWG game mechanics?

Next week is E3... they're prolly packing up for LA so they can announce the next broken expansion that gives crafters the shaft without fixing the bugs and addressing the crafter nerf of the CU first...
/cynic off
All cynicism aside tho, have you noticed that communications have dropped to nothing on the boards? I get worried when things get quiet.

Speaking as a long time DE, I dont really expect them to ever fix us. They are all too enamored with the EQ-model game. The social and commerce game we have enjoyed is, in my opinion, a mistake they made a long time ago. It was just a social experiment. The crazy success of the crafting and social game was unexpected, IMO, and they were unable and unwilling to support this complex and mostly un-controllable mini-game. Its sooooooo much easier to poke around in THAC0 and damage numbers (who knows what "T.H.A.C.0" is, hehehe).
I joined SWG to be a DE. I was able to amuse myself the first year to 18, months collecting resources, building and running cities and Guilds, collecting crafting suits, testing and trying out the different crafting professions, and so on. Now, I am bored. I have had a vendor filled with about 50 droids... combat, crafting, med, and scout. I sell about 1 a day. Maybe 2 on a good day. Seekers and Arakyds sell well, but who cares, they are boring as spit. They arent "real" droids.
Honestly, the only reason why I keep my subscription active is because of the resources I have stockpiled, and the fact that I can not fit everything I hold dear and collected over the last 20+ months in the bank. So I log in every few days to check email and maybe start another run of seekers or something.
But, I do not blame the Devs fully. I think the bean-bounters in SOE and LA are screwing us. I do hold the Devs responsible for some things though. For one, why in the name of the Force has there not been one single new droid CHASSIS added since launch? This CANT be so hard.
So, I hibernate, waiting to see if they will ever start paying attention to bugs that have existed in the crafting game since launch. To see if they will ever start adding content for us. To see if they will realize its people like me who play for the long-term, not just until they "beat" the game.

Well I can't argue with that, if they need a vacation its understandable. I been there done that before so I know how it feels.
So I can't be -to- frustrated...or even mad at them ((never was mad at the devs in the first place)).
but at least we all know why the slow down.
Thanks Jenden

They broke so many things with CU. I'm really worried about the ROTW release. What WON'T be borked then?
Furthermore, how long will it take them to fix all the post CU & ROTW bugs they create? There are bugs nearing two months old. Heck... don't forget about the stuff that was broke before the CU.

It doesn't matter when they fix these problems. When they are fixed, wait for another patch or two and those previous bugs will reappear. It happened before and it will happen again.
