Thread: Highest Creature Harvest Bonus

I get 17. something for a R3 with 103 rating. That's all I can get. The 'gate' on this module is really the CON of the steel involved.
I tested with598 approx con steel with 944 con/954 oq copper, and 999 oq inert. Got 17. Used 514 oq inert and got the same result
Did another test with approx 620 steel and put in 514 oq inert. Result was 17 as well. When I hit it with 999 oq, I actually got 1-2 percentage eff better (display of 17 though, still)
For me, the steelcon is the big problem. I wish I could hit 18, but without finding 999 con copper, I think I'm pretty hosed.

Finding a Steel with high CD just won't happen anytime soon. Each type of metal has caps or bonuses to different stats, so that Steels match a certain profile, Coppers another, etc.
I am currently using what swgcraft listed as the best CD/OQ steel ever on Bloodfin, plus a very High OQ gas and the Best CD/OQ copper I own atm. I get 17rated modules, but everyone needs to note that these modules are fractional and the fractions add up instead of disappear. 17+17+17=51, but in a CCSM I get 52. I think this is a normal bonus to certain modules given by the CCSM, since I see it in my combat models too. Then 52+52=104, but my final rating comes out to 105. There are hidden values being tracked and added through the crafting process, so be picky about your resource and you experimentation.
As an aside, isn't it great to be a DE and have thing where experimentation really MATTERS now?
that is a general truth. the fractional part of the rating on most of these new modules doesn't show in the exemine window, but it IS there when you stack the modules together. the same is true of combat modules and the detonation modules in my experience.
my detonation rating 9 modules are actually 9.7. I know this because 6 of them in an R3 gives me a 58 rating droid even though 9*6 is only 54. It doesn't appear to have anything to do with the CCSM though. My advanced mice with two 9.7 modules get a detonation rating of 39, which means the fractions are getting added in without the CCSM too.

The real question is what is the REAL bonus to harvest for different ratings.
I made an R3 I believe w/ 18 per module and my Harvest 4 friend was pulling about 15% more
Made a MSE w/ same person w/ no real bonus.
This is the thing - what level was the scout?
Now, I haven't done a ton of testing and all I get is positive feedback, haven't had any negative yet, so I haven't spent a whole lot of time on it, - but from what I understand the bonus is added to your creature harvesting skill.
If this is the case, and the skill is capped somehow or scaled in some way, a lower-level scout would see more of an effect than a higher level one. In fact, I'd assume that a novice scout would see the most benefit, going from a very low harvest ability to a very high one, where a master would already be high and just get a tiny bit higher.
Again, correct me if I am wrong or clarify for us, but I believe this is how the droid is intended to function. Too bad I dropped Master Scout, or I'd test it myself - I can certainly test it at novice, however. ![]()

I was under the impression that it was a sliding scale AO like you said. However I was just sort of taking that for granted based on what I had read in the TC thread. Since my guild has 3 scouts at varying levels of ability, I will crank out a quick test with each of us harvesting from the same type of creature, with and with out droids, and with and without veghash, grouped and ungrouped. We know generally what each of those things (grouping and food) do to harvesting, but it will be good to see how throwing the droid into the mix really works, and maybe find the best way to use one of the more helpful droids we have.
PS- I wanted to say that using one of these has a reall warm fuzzy feeling to it. I geta warm glow when I see the droid go to work while im still fighting, and watching 2-3 of them trundle around with us is a great kick. I think we ought to make a tiny push to have them add the Buzzsaw animation to Harvesting though. would it be hard? Nooooo! Would it be cool? I think so!

I can consistently get 18 using Trigepiam (sp?) copper and Avepeo duralloy steel with some 959oq gas. I got a 19 once but despite my best efforts with cake & bespin port, I wasn't able to get it for many more tries.
My alt. Glaumr is a Master DE on Bloodfin now, and he was able, though a lucky experiment, avepeo steel, oroe copper, and uber gas (can't remember the name), make a schematic for level 18 modules. I put them together in an adv. R3 droid and got it up to a total harvesting rating of 113 (so, I think those modules werecloser to 19 than 18). Now, if I could only get some more of that gas (and find a food vendor that actually stocks cake + port), maybe I'll get my modules up to level 18 again.
At any rate, the platinite copper that is spawning on Naboo, etc... is pretty good right now - better than the oroe mythra copper (not sure about the copper you mention above though). Spread the word to the other bloodfin DE's

He had Harvest 4. R3 fully stacked.. actually i think total of Harvest bonus 107...so I guess I was fractionally close to 18.
First, you have to be at least novice scout
Next, there is a new option in the droid's radial menu with 2 sub-options. One of them sets the harvest type (meat, bone, hide) and the other programs the harvest command.
On Bria, I was able to get +110 with con=1000 copper andoutstanding steel and inert gas, although the steel's con was just a little north of 600. I used 6 +18(ish) modules experimented to 89%.
