Thread: TC focus thread
As it stands I can see the only “Combat Droid” I'd make would be an Adv R3 with 3 combat mods, Lvl 6 armour and about 72 auto-repair power, where the only place where resource stats matter is on the individual auto-repair modules. One droid to rule them all. That's a bit... bland.
A thing to consider is that this isn't Publish 18, it's a Publish 17 patch and could very well be live by Tuesday. If so, that wouldn't leave much time for changes before this goes live. Dare I suggest, do we perhaps ask to have this pushed back to Publish 18 in order to see some changes?
Can anyone confirm from TC what the current effect of grouping with yout droid is?
I read about that the droid increases to the character level (if higher) but does the player gain levels if they are lower than the droid?

Unless that changed it, pets increasing to the levle of the player is just a display bug. We tested it in detail, and nothing defense or offense wise on the pets changed, grouped or not. If you think about it, that would mean a CH got 3 level 80 pets.

I think in theory I like the way this system could work, but right now, in practice I'm hating the way it seems to work.
No difference between chassis?
No point (or ability) to experiment on HAM/Dmg/Armor etc?
I've been taking a break, and when I looked and saw the headlines for coming changes I was pleased, but now, reading the results I am not so happy. I know its early in Testing, but they have to know this isn't gonna fly.
At the very least there were no issues with a non CH calling these higher lvl droids huh? I wonder what the Handlers are going to think...
From the CH forum, random quote: Yeah I was amazed at their (narglach) stats! 7700+ health, 350+ damage for a CL22 creature is stunning post-CU. An MCH can have three of those out and like Iakimo said, if you group with them it bumps their CL up to yours making them a very powerful combo........../endquoteSo, I wouldn't think CHs will have much to argue about...in fairness
lol, you quoted me from the CH forum.
I really hope this stays in test a bit longer and makes it possible to experiment on *something* on the final droid other than the combat module. My god, I thought we would be getting more things to experiment on in the future, not LOSING things!
I hope this is the first step towards more DE loving.
It is great that they are working on DE fixes and I will try to remain positive and see where they are going with this. Maybe this will lay the ground work for even more fixes, most needed of course, chassis specialization and diversification. Not every droid should be an R3 just because it has six modules.
Hopefully the HAM experimentation is a bug because it wouldnt make sense otherwise. You could have one droid with 3000 ham and one with 2750 ham using different chemicals while having both have a CL 30 armor rating. The CL level will make it easier for customers to understand than Armor Level 6 etc.
Oh any chance we can finally get combat Droidekas now that the level is 30?????? It only seems to make sense as a combat droid would more likely be a droideka than an R3.
Wow. I like the fact they are working on DE but why are they constantly dumbing down the rafting in this game? That was the thing that was working correctly and they keep "fixing" it.
First the Armorsmiths, now us![]()

Well, I guess that makes sense and all, but wow, all that OQ 1000 chemical I bought...down the tubes...

HAM experimentation is gone. HAM levels are purely a formula based off of the level
Its first day TC and there are a good number of bugs....
Health experimentation is more then likely bugged as well.
I'll have my fingers crossed.
I am as concerened as anyone about the 'dumbing down' that seems to be in progress. I DO want quality of resource and experimentation to matter..and if it doesn't, then whats the point of a 'crafting' profession?
For now I'll hope that early reports are reflecting bugs...I surely hope that's so. Gods help us if it's not!!

Unless the Corby DE take the time to run a full run of testing, the early reports will be the only information that the DEV team will have. ![]()
I logged on to Corby, to try and do a little more testing, but in the 20 minutes that I was standing near the frog, gathering resources and such, I was harrassed by people wanting to duel me.
I understand the need to run a stress test on code, however the decision to alienate the dedicated Test Center communtiy, for their ability to effeciently test code, is a rather poor decision.
This is a formal request to all of the Corby DE out there. Jump onto Test Center and spend some time with the new code.Let both the DE community and the DEVsknow of any issues that you find. If reports aren't made, nothing will be fixed and the code will go to Live as is. ![]()

Any idea when this may go live?
Im pretty sure next tuesday ... ready or not
Ok, a few more bits of information:
- The innate combat ability of the DZ70 and the probot are history
- A LvL 6 Armor does bump a droid to the max health and lvl mentioned but it does not give a attack option
more later when the factories are running
(there are blue frogs on TC atm, so more people can test, if they want)
