I always thought and wanted us to be hybrid, CH/BE all in one. If they could present a DC that could be different than a CH, id go for it. Maybe if they made it so they dont have such high level droids, but can have out many (many morethan a CH can haveout)lower level ones.

But having a DC thats almost identical to CH is just stupid. One profession would eventually be found out to be better than the other, and it would just invalidate one.

But its all too complicated for me to come up with any solution, and since DEs have been forced down the road ahead of them with, what I think very little to look forward to (check the SWG newsletter or the other post here about the blastomech) and it just makes me sick to my stomach. For those who are still DEs, i hope some of the new stuff they put in gives you massive profits and some more joy from the profession, cause god knows you all deserve it.

Im sure it will be a big seller and exciting, but who the heck really wanted an r2 with guns!?

This is the crap that is irritating me. There is not one DE that didn't want higher level combat droids in game.People that keep throwing that 'pure crafter' crap into thier threads are full of shist. Most people wanted droids to be useable by anyone via Certs (well, besides the continuity crowd...I'll hold my tongue there). If this is pure crafter, sue me you reatarded goiter. We didn't know there wasn't any options besides DH, the dev's never said anything about any of our proposals.

Shian, I have made exactly 5 posts in this light (including this one). Since it is obviously irritating you so much, then it is obvious that there is a lot of truth in my statements. Go back and read what I wrote then and have always written.

Since your only recourse is to call someone weak-kneed, you really don't have a clue do you. Back then I was one of the very few that actually supported the idea of a DC class, and made many posts in support - include a complete profession proposal that was about 8 posts long. In fact, I still strongly support the idea.

Perhaps if you and the others took a dose of reality check you would see it was your own doing, not mine that we have the situation we are in right now. Had the pure-crafting camp got their way, there would have been a DC profession and we would have been getting these schematics for these droids and more in the next patch. Had the pure-crafter camp got their way, we would have had a lot more stuff to make in the next patch than we are getting now. It is precisely the fact that the "I want to do everything" camp got their way that we have none of this and will have a very much watered down version of the droid invasion in the next patch. My position and statements have never changed on this issue so don't blame me for it when it was your own doing.

(Edit: My grammar sucks And, also to add that Gribnitz has just expressed the same opinion as I was about to post next)

Dont dream of telling me I have no clue, you are the one who supported DC as you say way back..it was and is an outrageous idea.

We are where we are, and the pure crafters are now very firmly in the minority. Even Jenden and Grib have signed up, and no doubt it cost them personally to do so. Surely the ultimate goal of us all is to do better for our customers..so..join in.

Hate to be, well, negative. But no matter what any of the players want, the development team already has a direction and they are going in it. The direction does NOT include us crafting Battle Droids.

They apparently didn't want to talk to us on Friday either. Funny how that works.

But the Friday Feature is VERY important, of course....

What is this "best offer" you are talking about? Something that Sodan has dreamed up that has zero chance of making it into the game? The Devs have flat out stated that there will be no hybrid profession, and the only way higher-level combat droids will come into the game under player control will be some other form of DC, and not for a long time at that (post SE). Not only that, but since the devs have already started work on coding publish 8. Should the devs decide to implement that proposal, it would now completely remove anything the DEs would get in Publish 8 and put it off another 4 months. Just imagine how well that will go down with the whiners here?

As for your last sentence, please explain as it makes no sense. What ball am I taking (did someone bring a ball, and what game were we supposed to be playing with it?) and if I never brought one, why would taking it home have any effect on you?

As for being wordy, I'll take that compliment I write a lot of (programming) books in RL - 10 so far and counting. Good grammar, spelling and clear ennuciation of a point is something I take pride in trying to achieve.

I see new toy that I want to craft. I don't care about who uses them I'd just set up the chassis for my PA hall and make it look wicked and scary. but alas.....thank you crafting camp. if at some point we do get to build these new droids I'd sick it (or have someone who can use it) on a pure crafter DE for the bashing. Oh well I vented . time to go to my happy place pull out my FWG 5 and kill lots of thing to make it all well and good for me agian

Even if I had never played this game, I could see that having two basically identical classes is bordering on retarded. Being a creature handler with my secondary character has nothing to do with this.
