With regard to release dates, I would highly recommend that do not count on any date till the box is on the shelf.
I've seen too many dates get pushed back. I prefer to subscribe to the "It will be out when it's out." philosophy.

It will be announced and shown at E3 in May.
I'm guessing it will beta this summer.
I'd be shocked if it's out before November.

Well...rethink it as: "Sorry guys, the Hybrid DE idea (while great) simply won't balance as well as a new profession and/or a well-designed faction combat droids will."

DON'T shoot themessenger... news, either good OR bad,is scarce enough as it is! 
It's no biggie. I've had a 1-star bandit for a few months now, I think. I don't put much stock in it anymore (and neither should any of you).

I'm gonna have to give serious consideration if its time for me to following the rest of the old timers into oblivion. I still had some hope until this announcement but its gone now.

I know you've been around a good while. I'd hope if nothing else you might spend a bit o' time doing other stuff and still keeping DE at arm's length (till it gets better, in your opinion).
I'm starting to gear up to hit more themeparks, etc., as a way to keep myself busy in-game. I'm pretty excited to get back to the Corvette (which is a blast, by the way).

What bothers me the most is that despite Runesabre's assertion otherwise, the plan has been and always will be a Droid Commander.
I mean it sure looked like it, considering all the contradicting limitiations we were given to suggest a plan. But despite those draconian requirements, we still made a plan that IS workable, and we're told that its not balanced. Not that it was too hard, or not possible. But not balanced. In a game that is grossly unbalanced, whose fixes are as far out as new droids. It was the same skill point cost as CH. How then is it not balanced? Especially since they've always had the control on the flip side of the coin, what is given, namely the power of the droids. oh well, no sense ranting about it.
If the DC was always inevitable, they should of put it in this patch, just as they planned. Delaying an unpopular patch doesnt change the fact that its unpopular, and if they were going to do it anyway, they should of just did it and be done with it. All its done now is delay introduction of combat droids for 6-12 months.
So TK, as far as im concerned, go back to them and tell them to finish what they started. Forget the utility droids no one wants, and give us the DC w/ the 3 droids thenew profession gets to use.
Now ive got to go off and think long and hard whether i want to drop DE.
Stupid Forumn. How the hell do they expect to run a MMORPG when they cant even run something as simle as their damn forums without errors.

You don't really want this, man. We've waited for any kind of work for so long that I don't think it's wise to have them change direction again (which they wouldn't do at this point anyway).

Nope...CL10+ droids won't happen until after Space. And that's that.
