I don't agree so much with holding new ideas, I definitly do wish people would at least browse through the first few pages though.
It gets silly answering EXACTLY the same questions that are in a post 2 threads down.

Some form of droid decay would be nice, but I don't think it is the most important thing at all, and I've been here a long time. Everyone has different opinions, and not everyone thinks droid decay is so important that we shouldn't even discuss other ideas. Shoot, we recently voted on our top 5 list of issues and droid decay came up as item number 4 on the list. Not number one. This clearly demonstrates thatthe majority of the DE's in the forums do not consider droid decay to be the most important thing. /shrug
Personally I find it hard totake someone seriouslywhen they open with the blanketassumption thattheir opinion really is better than everybody elses. And that is basically what you are claiming here when you tell everyone to shush.
As for the search function: it barely works and gives you links to individual posts instead of threads and its results are nigh impossible to navigate if you get a lot of hits. I can hardly fault someone for failing to notice if a topic has already been brought up before.

Well, let me put it this way. Right now, Eclipse is one of the more populated servers in the game. If you took all the DE's on Eclipse and put them in a movie theater then fired a cannon through it, odds are great that the cannonball will only hit empty seats. Hell, you could probably fire the cannon several times and still not smack a DE. It subjective, but my judgement is that its a reason for concern. And attrition seems to be highest amoung the ppl who have just taken up the profession. They last about a month or two. Of all the DE's I use to know and be in the union with, none are still around.
Yes, alot of the DE's here on the forum didn't list droid decay as the most important. Alot of them are also wet behind the ears and the one's who are posting proposals like nobody has ever though of their particular idea before. And so this core function stays broken and repeat sales won't be realized. This crap just goes on, unsolved. Is it really too much to ask that we have the same mechanism in our market forces that other professions do? Guess so.
Well, in any case, the next generation of DE's will be along in a few months. Perhaps they will be wiser.
