Wow great list Atan! I had forgotten the droid brains in the combat socket clusters.

Adding up all the components, we have 4,360 (using 1 level 6 armor module instead of 2 level 4s).

Add in 6 modules per droid plus the count of the chassis themselves, and we see it takes:

5,221 items to craft 123 Adv R3 Droids!

And to think pet making BEs occasionally talk about how "easy" it is to crank out combat droids.

PS dont think I'm slamming. I play both, and I know all the differences. but when I see the DEs have it easy posts, I make sure they know exactly how tough it is

I prefer to think of it as an obsession...and this forum is sort of like a support group.

Heh, DE is the hardest crafting prof in the game, and most time consuming, and most factory intensive. I have done all crafting profs, except doctor, tried combat medic but never really made anything.. cept for a few things, but trust me.. de is definatly the hardest..

Charge for your time guys,, : ) its not all about resource cost..

I'm saving this message and sending it to anyone who ever again tries to say factory production doesn't take a hell of a lot of work...

While it is a real pain to do, it really isnt that much "work". Out ofthe 5 or 6 days it will probably take, the DE might spend only a couple hours adding resources, making the schematics, and moving crates from the output to input hoppers. The rest of the time they can be off doing whatever else they fancy. The challenge is in the organization and preperation, not in the labor. In debates about factory crafting, DE hold's a special place in comparison to other profs. We certainly do have the greatest burden in this area, but we cannot use that to deny the overall concepts in discussion.

I've had a constant headache from doing factory runs of droids for the last couple of weeks. I now have 100 Full Entertainer's R3's, 98 LE Repairs with 2 auto repair and one combat and 98 R3s with 3 auto repairs and 3 combat mods. Anybody care to figure up how many items that took? I know I don't. =)

Now I'm working on doing a big run of Probots, probably going to do 200 or so of them, depending on how my resources look. But as big a pain as it can be, I have now found out that factory production is the only way to go with droids.
