As much as I disagree with many of the other DEs here and argue that the probot has more ability than they give it credit for I really have a hard time arguing to weaken it. I think balancewise it is about where it should be (though I know many DEs think it needs to be stronger) as a pet usable by anyone.

If your figures are correct (and DEs note, I'm not saying they are) then I would think they indicate more that the level 10 CH pets need to be bumped back up a bit. The probot, while useful to a new player, is far from an overpowering droid.

note: i'm not assuming that our best combat droid has to be CL10 either!

I'm just saying, that if its more powerful than a CL10 creature, then it isn't CL10.

Either way, since there is no droid handler and there is no combat droid better than our probot available to anyone, its not unreasonable to let our best combat droid be a little more powerful than the best non-CH pets, if they also make it so every player can have both a droid and a creature out at the same time (which they said they plan to do).

In my experience, "new" players can't afford a Probot.

As far as game balance goes, one CL 10 creature will not be equal to any other CL 10 creature, there will be a little imbalance beween even same level creatures. We're trying to get away from cookie-cutter pets, not make them all equal in all areas. So what if a CL10 Probot is better than a CL10 BE pet? Last I checked, BE's have much more things to sell. And with the new patch you can have your pet and your droid out, so they don't need to be balanced against each other.

The probot is fine as it is, it does not need to be any stronger, nor any weaker. But currently, on publish 7, Probots will be weaker than they currently are.

Wow, after 6 month CH apparently learned how to do simple math. The probot has always been better than CL10 creature as far as absorbing damage. Thanks for getting a clue. Spread the word, we could use more sales. Instead of whining to the devs that probots are better, how about telling them neither droids or pets are worth using.

YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! A CH wants yet more attention than they have already gotten over the last year?!

If the Probots are so powerful (as you say), why is that DEs have to fight tooth and nail to sell them? You'dthink that such an overpowered pet would be hard to keep in stock.

Me personally its because they couldn't be repaired without regenerating by themselves, I've never been one to turn down extra firepower however looking at the math here I never imagined they'd be able to take such a beating like that. I'd say the reason for struggling to sell them is two-fold. Firslty it's cause people look at them and all they see is a pet with less than 1000 HAM and very low damage, seconly because they were very costly if they took a wild shot that totally destroyed them.

Probots haven't suffered from Permadeath in over 6 months I believe.

I'm not a CH nor do I have a character who ever progressed far into the profession. It's boring in terms of combat to send in a 10k HAM meatshield.

Does anyone really know EXACTLY what statistics are used to define "Creature Level"?

So you are just a supporter of the most outrageously over-exaggerated class in this game? Nice. As if they don't try to promote themselves enough.

Yes. If it can be killed by a single Gurrcat, it is no more than CL-10....hehe
