I would like to see this changed...perhaps let the droid harvest like 10%-50% of what a novice scout would harvest.

I think if that happened scouts would scream bloody murder... Creature harvesting is their only real source of income, and if all of a sudden everyone and their brother could harvest creatures that would have a huge impact on the creature resource markets.

Prehaps the only way that it could be added as a feature, is if the droid by itself would harvest less then what a fresh Novice Scout could, but even then, as Jenden pointed out, the Scout and Ranger communities would be out raged....
Even more so then when the article of clothing that shall remain nameless if mentioned.

That is what I'm saying...like 10%-50% less than a novice scout.
If the scout and ranger communities were outraged...let point out that the latest harvesting change has rendered out harvesting droids useless.
I have no idea what the "clothing that shall remain nameless" is.

This would be a bug, nothing more. Hopefully it will be fixed soon and not in a TH answer kind of way either.

I guess my beef with the harvesting droids is that I don't have any confidence that it will be fixed.
Maintenance droids never really were popular or usefull...even more so now that maintenance is direct withdraw. Survey droids have thier place, but there could also be more functionality to them so that they would be popular. Protocol droids don't translate...and if I'm mistaken you still can't use a customization tool on them. They also refuse to learn a new name, just like the LE Repair droids. The stim module sounded cool when it first came out, but the stims they use are pretty useless. Perhaps the combat upgrade will change this...then again probably not.

Hello, i am DE, yestherday builtan harvest droid, but in the radial menu i dont see something about "harvest options...". Can anyone to use a harvest droid or i need be Novice scout of to use it.
I am Novice Armorsmith too andi need Bone and Hide, so i thought to use a harvest droid.

You need nov. scout or more. Then you get a radial menu to select what to harvest and can programm a command for your droid to harvest. (iirc, its a long time ago i used one)

I have the 150 harvest skill. with food its 181. Will a droid improve on the 181 giving me about 217 or only add the 20% to 150 leaving me at 180 still?
