Not applicable as I see it. Can the ships hold vendor machines andintegrate into the planet map for their currentplanet to be a store?And the multi-passenger ships have a requirement of Master Pilot while any size personal home has the requirement of paying 14.95 per month.


I'm not arguing with you about the system as you have no control over it. But you can bet if you were a dev, I would be arguing. The addition of the POB ships deserve an accomodation on the lot allocations. Otherwise it's a discouragement for me as an existing player with ties to the ground to purchase JTL. I'm short on lots already and essentially SOE is stating "If you want a YT, you're gonna have to hurt your DE business even further".

You must be new here to think they will listen now. We screemed loudlyat them back in the first beta when they drop it from 75 or what ever it was to 10 lots. They where told then 10 wasn't enough and they where screwing the crafters. There actions since then have shown they don't care about the crafters unless they make somthing directly for combat. We where told droids would be fixed right after the game went live. That would be there "next priority". It was there last and then half assed at that. We still have bugs from when the game went live. I have 2 houses for storage and that is bearly enough to keep all teh droid parts/resources. I onnly did a little decorating on my main house and I find even then I have to keep take stuff out and distroying it. Most of what is there is droid displays. I have 2 factories and this change does nothing for me since they where already 1 lot each. That leaves me with only 4 lots to gather enough of a good resource to last until the next spawns and hope only 1 thing spawns at a time.

The Sorusuub should NOT take up lots! So what if they lose a whopping 75 items? Why would a player with a MP ship bother using a ship to store when there are homes to do it. Homes that can be shared and used for more than the owner? Seriously, POB (which stands for Portalized Object, by the way) ships will be decorated mostly, not used for storage. Especially if its true that loot in MP ships get put in the ship itself.


Heck, I am going to be upset that I will have to make sacrifices in decorating my Sorusuub. 75 items is insufficient to do it right. Thats a big dang ship. I just dont see how 75 items will be so bad, especially after all the Merchant nerfs lately, and in light of the rumored lot rebalance.

Can I put a vendor on one of those Ships?


Heh if you could have a storage vendor, you could have like a traveling workshop.

Tat Guild Halls are staying the same. The suggestion to drop the lot costs on Large Houses has also been made, so we will have to wait and see about that one.

Drashk, this makes sense, however, we are paying for an expansion. This isn't new, free, content being added to this game. We are being asked to sacrifice something we currently have (lots) in order to use new content that we are paying for. I understand there are checks and balances, but some quarter needs to be given to those of us who are giving SOE additional money for the expansion.

Well that kind of sucks. If thye are treating it like a house, so you can store stuff, and it takes up lots, why not a vendor?


Actually, I just answered my own question. Heh, it would probably play Havoc with the "location" part of vendors.

Actually, you can create a vendor on a POB ship through the use of /createvendor. The vendors appear to work, even after you leave the ship and launch again. Whether or not this is a feature or a bug, I couldn't tell you.

I wonder how they would work with having a location. If you are in space, where would it show the objects as being?


Would be really cool, but would be risky.

Sorry, but I'd rather they remove the ability to store items on a MP ship than take a lot for having one. The issue of lots and storage has been around forever and this database issue is going to end up being the pass/fail of this game.


Personally, I wouldn't even consider using a ship for storage due to the hassle of launching and landing to get anything out of it. If the ships graphics are done right, then decorating a ship won't be an issue, or at least doesn't have to be an issue.


People want to personallize their ships, fine. Allow architects to make ship-only items for use in decorating ships and don't allow anything else to be dropped in one.


I can't believe that SOE is adding an expansion like this that had to require them to add more DB space through servers to cover and they are so worried about people dropping 150 items in these DB's that they are going to Nerf the ground game by removing lots from us.


What about those of us who aren't architects and don't use guildhalls, i.e. the majority of us? 7 lots for a building that holds 450 items is still too much (64.28 items per lot) for me. Its close, but not the 75 items per lot that the system was supposed to use.


I'm not asking for much, but some consistency would be nice.
