um, wrong. The Cap for stats from clothing and other items is +25 and it does stack with racial bonuses.
Dont know about the SW stuff but it is certainly possible to become a human 14 point artisan.
Correct, this is currently the only way to craft top of the line powerups too. (14 pt MA)
