"In the last two nights I have made over 500k creds sitting on the bench across from the Coronet Starport. Most folks buy an Adv Probo fully stocked (L6 med mod, craft, repair, L6data and item storage, and aL6 armor seg). I sell em for 35-40k each. I've never been more happy in all my SWG life, really.

Scorpra , IMHO you are an exploiting jackass retard, of the lowest caliber, as any MDE worth a grain of salt knows, an advanced probot may have 2 items and 2 layers of armor, your fondness for the exploit of generic crafting cluster, is akin to self defeating jackasses who ruin their own market, I can name a few professions that have done so... if you made 35-40k each ( I get 36k for a legit advanced probot) and lets say sold them a legit one for 30k and then a r-unit with the remainder for 20k more you would not only have raised the sales of droids, but respect from the DE comunity, you would have also made more credits ( as if that matters )

sure there are exploits everywhere, and the same people who USE them are the same people that whine and cry when they are used against them.

IMHO you are a disgrace to THE MDE profession, and people like you are why things have been "nerfed/broken" to this date.. personally I hope they remove/break all clusters and simply not repair them untill the rest of the profession is fixed, I can live without any module clusters, all my credits, and respect were earned legit.

My views expressed here are my own, I could believe shared by many more, I flame you because its my right, and could only wish the CSR's had the backbone to admister justice to the exploiters found using any exploit, but then, they would go out of buissness.

No, an advanced probot has room for 2 modules and 2 armor plates...not 2 clusters and 2 armor plates.

Well...all of the bugs in the game have been things that people could do, doesn't mean they weren't exploits. Using an element of the game to your benefit in a way not intended by the developers is an exploit (exploitable bug).

There are 2 different types of slots -- one is for normal modules and one is for clusters.A large portion of the DE community feel that placing cluster into normal slots is a bug and therefore using that is an exploit. That is how doing it could be an exploit in his/her opinion.

my expenses .. daily are more then you make in14 days with your exploited probots..

medium house,4 small houses ( storage ) 4 factories, 27 personal harvesters, 3 medium harvestors, 9 large harvestors, 11 solar gens, and thats with my main character, I also oversee and personally finance a couple friends accounts while they are away from game, and keep their 50+ heavy harvestors, and 30 fusion gens running. Granted this is small to some, and large to others, point is my daily needs to make this ammount for this to stay in buissness.. when the droid sales a day alone dont make the credits, I sell 100k of fusion or 100k of a resource, I have houses ( plural ) with 150 spaces, that are simply 100k stacks of resources.. I have never needed to exploit this game, in any form, I am as successfull as I chose to be.

lastly .. jelous roflI make more credits while I am asleep, then you do in a month, and ya know what, there is nothing left in game for me to even consider spending them on, but I do enjoy them.

IMHO I do not think Probots should do anything other than fight, but since they could...

I sold 900k from my vendor in one day. Not even 24 hours. I was happy. I still am.

What we NEED if for there to be a division between combat droids and other droids. Combat droids should not take any modules except armor, data, and any new combat modules we get. Then players have a reason to buy both.

Im sitting here reading this good thread and it turns into a flame session.

Okay I built my second account last week to be a DE/Mayor. In that week i am now 3/3/4/4. And i will, hopefully, make master today. I knew the profession had issues. But I also know its getting worked on and will be the home for vehicles. That said..

I had the title "Droid Designer" over my head near the theed starport. Not even directly in front of it. I had not made a price list. Or even thought about anyone buying from a non-master. I built and sold three on the spot. And i have orders for two more today. A lot of people, as you start to find out, dont care if it does 110 medical. They want something that looks cool and makes the game more like Star Wars. I even gave my first non-advanced probot to a new player to get them used to droids. I laughed my ass off when the worshipful circut worked in the surgical droid i made worked. I thought they were broken. Last night showed me that there is a life as a social DE.

I walk around with my Tredwell and get asked "Whats that". Since its a low end droid none of us make it. I think of it as a Graul Maul protocoligist bot. Shame we cant get the arms to do something. But the camera moving is cool looking.

The one thing I have said no to is multiple crafting stations in my droids. Since i have seen on here that its a bug. Id rather see one working station then two that don't for my new customers.

I completely agree with you Therearentan. I have sales in the 100-250k range on a daily basis. I'll admit that I do offer a few more items than most, since I make a pretty mean Private Crafting Station that quite a few people are always looking for, but I also charge 15k for Probots, Surgical Droids, R2s, and the ocassional LE. Protocol Droids and R3s go for 20k. I offer any of these droids on my vendor with a crafting package (Storage and Crafting station) or a Medical package (Medical and Crafting station).

In the last 20 hours I have sold 15 droids of various types and guess what.....I don't advertise at all anymore, except for the occassional plug on the forum, that most of my customers don't even know exisits. I'll admit that I have been an active DE on Shadowfire since a few days before I registered on the forums, so you can see that I have been for a decent amount of time.

Sunfire1, I don't know how it is on your server, but on Shadowfire, Talus is practially a ghost planet, in regards to the number of people that live/visit there.

If you're not keeping R2s on the vendor, you're missing seriously large numbers of sales. In fact, my sales have gotten so hot on them I'm now making them in factory crates! 16K for one with Med 6, F&C station. They just fly off - typically 5 a day sell.

Next, if you're not hanging around with a title up that says DE, don't expect to make Droid sales. You bark stuff, people ignore you. Put the title up and go be sociable. Hang out in the med centers and the popular cantinas. Coronet and Theed cantinas are the place to be. I can't get within 100m of the door of those places without someone asking me to make a droid for them. Also, make custom droids. Go with resources in hand, preferably crates of pre-made components and be ready to sell. Over the last week, I've had so many customers completely amazed that I can build them a complete droid in under 5 min to their specifications. Often, I've gotten the comment back of "well I was chatting to this other DE and he said it would take 2-3 days to make". If that's the way you're selling, don't expect to make sales.

And to repeat - R2s are the way to go. Build them in bulk. The medics love 'em.
