Sodan, every plan will have dissenters. It's the beauty of Democracy. Everybody thinking the same is more along the lines of Communism. Just let them disagree, and don't put them down for it, please. You yourself said to keep the flaming, etc. down to a minimum, you should do just that.

I agree, man. You're right. We already won the consensus and the dissent is duly noted. No plan will have 100% support. My beef is and has always been with the use or repeated posts to make a divide "appear" where there is none.

Kollos, normally I'd be the first to agree.
However, the functionality proposed for Publish 8 was best case scenario - all those modules we want aren't in the cards (survey, etc.) - this has become clear from public statements as well as private interactions with red names I have had. It is not their intention to make droids more useful in terms of existing game systems, it's about inventing new things - and there you have the "entertainer" modules. Just like stimpacks (a good thing) aren't an Invasion, the merchant module (the one neat utility droid proposed) isn't one either.
You are right - it isn't awfully likely, but I have been led to believe in some of those communications thatit is possible. It all depends on schedule and ease of implementation with existing systems - which I think both proposals addressed. We know chunks of Droid Handler were done, they just weren't all hooked together - and it all depends on their meetings this week to see how viable they proposals would be to implement.
They are reading them, and all is not lost. I know that for a fact.
Nothing is for sure - but I'd rather the possibility fo a REAL invasion next publish than what we are facing now - which coupled with this publish would effectively make DE's the offically most gimped profession in SWG, a pain made even more great because it's after not one, but two publishes dedicated to Droids.

Hats off to the devs for all thier hard work. As you can see the community is crying out for something more and we believe its within your grasp to do it. Make SWG bad ass with new and super cool combat droids.
I want you to log on with me afterward and help me manage the tells for droideka androger-roger droids. Imagine young kids bragging about their new droids. Woot! The path to a new tomorrow starts in the above-linked thread.

Well, the DEV's have stated that Publish 9 and 10 are gonna be the Jedi Revamp so I think they'll be up to their ears in that.

There is a divide Sodan, no need to alienate our fellow DE's who don't agree.
Why don't weuse the old toothpaste phrase: 9 out of 10 DE's or Droid Enthusiasts agree with "the plan"...
