Thread: Droids Ripping Through Batteries Since Big Patch?
Aye, droids *are* going through batteries quite fast and yes the crafting droids need love, er...batteries too! My poor probot was asking every 20 mins for another battery! I swear she just loves to demand scooby snacks to perform any duty like following or guarding me while I do a harvestor run hehe.
Also as to Power droids...these little guys are a *great* reason why we need to be able to call more than one droid at a time! Liken us to CH's...the higher we get, the more droids we can call. I mean no offense but Luke wasn't a DE and he could use R2 and C3PO at one time
. I don't see an issue with having two crafting station droids out at the same time...you'd still need to target them to get access to the station in them anyway =)
Here though is a proposal for the droid battery issue:
Allow us the ability to experiment with potential power on the battery. Place in a slot for a power source to put in the center of the thing =) the more potential energy in that resource to begin with then the better the battery but if we experiment with it, we can increase the actual pull of power from the resource.
I.E. Drop in a Class 2 Radioactive with 670 p.e....battery would then have 670 p.e. or a little over a full usage of the battery...say a day of power. Now experiment with it to get it up to say, 1100 and BAM! Two days of power. Of course they should last a lot longer than a day or so lol but you get the idea.
Just my 2 credits worth =)

Here is some clarification on this issue-
Crafting modules and basic capabilities of droids still function normally. I have an R2 droid with a med rating of 110 and the Food/Chem module and regardless of the state of its batteries, I can craft all the top tier medicines and experiment normally.
The problem more specifically stated is that the wound treatment and enhancement mods are drastically affected. It is very frustrating to pull out a droid, power it up with a new battery, and then watch as my enhancements (made with the best ingredients) go from +1600 to +1200 to +570 and then all of a sudden I can't enhance at all ("You must be in a hospital, campsite or near a surgical droid to do this...doh, what is this overrated trash compactor next to me!?!?!?") over a period of literally 5 minutes.
This is definitely a bug (or if intended, a really bad idea) and in my opinion you guys should be ticked off. It really devalues your profession and products.
Cheers-
