Thread: Droids Ripping Through Batteries Since Big Patch?
Thanks!
The devs fixed a bug that used to recharge a droid every time it was stored. You now have to recharge droids manually.
I have heard that the rate of battery consumption also tripled, but I have no experience to that effect myself. I so rarely used droids before that I cannot say first-hand how long a battery used to last without storing the droid.
For a crafting station droid, charge is less relevant - you can (thank goodness) still use it as a station, and it'll respond to come and stay commands regardless of charge, same for the storage compartments.
The rate that droids lose charge needs to be cut by 99% - they currently chew through batteries faster than RC Cars chew through 5-cent carbon batteries. These things give the appearance of *seriously* low technology.
How often the 3PO want to shut down to save charge? I can remember once and only once in the entire first three movies, and artoo was more like the energizer bunny.

Umm, no. At least it didn't use to be this way.In order for a station to work, or a medical module, the droid has to becharged. You are correct on storage compartments though, same for data modules.
That being said my R4 unit hasn't needed a single battery since the big patch and I use him fairly often when crafting pet stims.
as they said, crafting doesn't require power so your droid is most probably without power, but you haven't noticed it yet.
This must be fixed soon! like anybody will hear this bah ![]()
We are DEs, our business is not selling batteries. The few people who actually helped us by buying our droids, are complaining. Old medics are probably telling new medics not to bother with medical droids, as they require too much upkeep. This is bad!
I just want to say one thing about the people bashing ch saying that they don't belong in SWG cause they never where in the movies. First of all if your going off the movies this game is nothing like them. Second of all there was a ch in starwars. In return of the Jedi who do you think the guy crying after Luke kills the rancor is? He is a ch. Now all the peole take ch cause they can get great pets for low sp cost can go to ****

and you always saw these pets following their master around, through the streets, at the starports... yea right. they where in both cases in some kind of inclosed arena.
here you have a pet, it follows you everywhere, never needs batteries and only needs food if wounded which heals the wound. You don't need someone ELSE to call their pet to heal yours, and the white on their hams seem to go up faster. I have 2 probots and 1 Rockbeetle. Yes the Probot can take more hits, only because it has maxed armor. But it does squat. Use it to milk the nest because it fires so slooooowly and does so little damage. It does 1/3 the damage of the rockbeetle, is always wanting more power even when it dosn't fight, requires another person with a droid with a repair module to fix black, while I just make up some food with the hide and meat I loot to heal the beetle. And the probot is rated LVL 16 while the beetle is only LVL 13? clearly they only look at HAM and not damage delt when figuring pet ratings.
