I am. I'm in my second or third day at MDE and I've gone through something like 600 gp/mem modules. Paying retail for those just isn't an option really. Not for me anyway.

If you want some DE skills as a hobby and have a MA that can hook you up you could live without it. But if your goal is to sell as many droids as people will buy then I can't imagine not having it.

Apparently lots of people choose not to pick MA up though. I'm doing pretty well selling crates of MA components.

My shop is northeast of Anchorhead, Tatooine (860/-4924).

Yes, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'd hate to have to rely on other folks for all the Electronics Components. That, and I manage to sell enough Artisan stuff to make it worth while.

No I'm not. Have a PA mate who is and I buy my MA parts from him.

No I am not a master artisan, but I have a very generous guildmember who is. I let him use my factory and he runs off GP modules, control units and EMM's whenever I need them. If I didn't have him to rely on it would be very difficult. As it is, I am struggling with skill points to even get to Master DE so there is no way I could get MA.

Absolutely. I couldn't imagine being a DE without it. While I'm sure I could buy the MA parts from someone, it would lead to increased prices.

My response is same with everybody else...you need to be a master artisan to be a good job droid engineer.

Why you asking you want a Nemodian Bird Cage or some air cake or something?

I am not.The hardest thing about it is getting to BP2 so you can grind the Chasis. Other than that I dont even wear my DE, too many people asking if I can make r2s or Probots, I just grind and occasionally yell about training in any of my skills, so I eventually can become MA.

I am not a master artisan also. IT slows me down at times but works out aswell. On gorath server I get factory crates of all the stuff i need for around 180 credits per unit. This guy always keeps the bazaar stocked and has a vendor set up outside of town with it all aswell. Plus my brother is a master artisan as is this master droid engineer who always helps me out. Just take a day to look through the bazaar for the galaxy and message the makers of those who has the best reasonable prices and go from there.

of course ,, and too the person getting ready to drop MA ,, i say run your self a lot of schematics before u drop it save your self for awhile before having to pay for components and to the person that said will be weird being totaly non combat ,, with MA and MDE you can still master any of the NON hybrid combats (riflemen,pistoleer,pikemen,fencer..etc. and i make more money selling components and harvetsing resources then i will every beable to make as a MDE main reason im keeping ma

For the sheer volume of Electronic Memory Modules, Electronics GP Modules, and Micro Sensor Suites, yes I'm a master artisan. The bounty hunter droids, the arakyd and seeker doirds, require so many of them. And alot of other droids require them. I think it'd be slow going otherwise buying them.
