Thread: Annoying Customers

Hmm... I think it might be a good idea to put droid instructionsin an item's sales description. Drop it on your vendor, price it at 9999999 credits... then any dumb questions, you can just direct them to your vendor. Then you get Merchant XP while you're at it!You could even copy and paste it right out of the DE Forums!
I don't think there is enough text space in vendors for Drashk's DE101 FAQ
.

fortunately, i have yet to get an annoying customer, but my husband had one that flaked on him. my husband is an archectect and was one day making a few things to put on his vendor and was asked if he could make 30 medium naboo houses. he told the guy that he didnt have the skill yet, but was about to buy it, and they worked out a price. my husband spent 3 days doing nothing but make houses (he has a structure factory which helped alot!!), grind cash to buy resources to grind houses, and by the time he was done making all 30 houses, he only had 4 (including master) slots left to fill. he e-mailed the guy saying the houses are done, but the fellow didnt pick them up. so he now has 30 medium naboo houses to sell...needless to say, hes a bit miffed.
Orders like the one mentioned for the Architect I would have taken half the cash up front. 30 medium houses would have a high pricetag on it to produce.
1) Do they think I sell bad droids unless someone specifically asks me for a good one?
2) Do they think I'm going to magically know exactly what they want it to do?
Maybe these people are tracking me down specifically and are just bugging me, but I somehow doubt that. I like having business, but come-on!

The new craze I have is:
- Customer price checks custom droid.
- I give price and they order custom driod.
- Make droid and mail customer it's ready with WP to collect.
- Customer mails back something like "I am poor now since you took so long(2 Hours)to build it, can i have it for free or x credits(normal about 1/4 or original quote)."
Had about 4 this week already.
Hmmm... Then you definately don't know how to treat customers.
Huh? I have bad Customer Service skills becuase a tight customer changes his mind about how much he wants to pay for a droid AFTER I made it? oooook.
The way I work:
- Ihave several of the base components ready in crate *no handcrafting needed*, like brains, sensor packages, motivy systems, whatever
So do I.
- also a numer of crates with modules: combat, l6 data, l6 medical, l4 items, effects, harvesting, merchant
Yup
- armor modules l4/l6
Ticks the list, got them
- chassis (r2,r3,protocol,le, surgical)
Ohh, another dhitto.
Then if they need something special I will tell them the prices, when it will be ready i will contact them.
Thats what I do. Read my post.
Most of the time I can make any custom droid within an hour. Keeps customer happy and works great in number of sales.
Same here. Try building a droid in the middle of a Teir 4 Space Mission or in the Reb Theme park.
When i notice i run out of certain components, i fill up my factories.
Yeah always doing this.
