I sell for just above 15K and I'm still making a decent profit. first sale of the day pays for the days maintenance, Lg House, 5 Factories, and a couple heavy harvestors (I run 2 accnts).

you think it's bad now, just wait, I've been a MDE for quite awile now, and lately I've seen a HUGH population boom of DE's I've been training about 1/2 a dozen from my little place alone. there are 3 new MDE's in my area that seemed to sprout from the ground all in a week.

what is it with the sudden popularity of this profession? and with it will I have to cut my allready very modest markup even more? I very well can't sell BH droids, have crates gathering dust on my merchant for weeks now due to the 3000 Credit Crates of seekers and Arakyds found easily on the bazarr

I think they should make the metal more rare so we can keep our prices around 25k to 40k for advance droids with stations and lvl 6 mods. That would fix alot of the servers economy. I have been waiting for Lideon Extrusive Ore on the Tarquinas server for the last few days and it is a defenant I will not be shy on what I am going to be charging for my droids..

You all got to remember, this does not have 3150 HAM or 150 damage anymore. A Rock Beetle with more HAM and damage sell for 9K.

I sell my Advanced Probots with no Modules for 12K, and with 2 Modules level 6 for 18K.

I'm sorry, but 15k is what I charge for an Advanced Probot with 110 Medical and Food/Chem Station and Level 6 Armor. It also happens to be the same price that I charge charge for Surgicals, LEs, and R2 Units. Advanced Protocol Droids and R3s go for 20k with that same package.

I'm sorry, but even if I bought every single scrap of resource that is used to make my droids at 3 credits a unit, I would still make a good chunk of Profit. I know this to be a true fact, since I did it for over a week. I sittingat around 1 millioncredts at the moment, and spend about 300k a day. I buy a large portion of my resources, since I only have 4 lots to use for harvesters, and yet I still end up able end the day with 1 million credits. I also get huge discounts on my weapons and Armor, since I make quite a few deals with some of the better known Artisans on my server. I made all of one droid between Friday and Saturday, but ended up turning a profit of over 500k. How did I do this? Simple.....Make factory runs of each Chassis and Module, pick a set price to sell each Droid, put them on more than one vendor for sells, breaking up BH, Combat, and Non-Combat Droids, and then advertising on your servers forum, or set up a Roving billboard. Make friends with the local well know Medics or PAs and give them a free droid from time to time. Also, don't hesitate to answer questions of any Droid Noobs. Educate the local crafters about the usefulness of a Droid Crafting station. Have them compare the Droid crafting station to a Private Crafting station with a rating of about 25 and see if they can see any difference.

I'm happy with selling my droids at the prices that I do, and even have a number of other Master DEs on my server that charge close to my prices. I'll openly say, since I've been told countless times, that I'm one of the top DEs on my server because of prices, droid availablity, my willingness to help those with questions, and that I have a well set up shop. Ya sure, I could raise my prices a few K, but why the heck would I want too. 15k is the perfect price for what I make. Come on, its not like you have to slave over each and every droid, trying to get the best possible experimenation rate on it....hello they are all the freakin same.

Mine are 12k, I see people sell them on the server consistantly for 30k. I still make money hand over fist, have a better customer base, better reputation, and therefore better profit. Since I hit master I've jut been cranking out parts from my factory so it takes about a whole 2 minutes to make a droid, so I'm not going to be overloaded anytime soon. I don't see this as ruining the economy, since I am still making about a 500% profit off each droid.

for 15k... you should be shot...

With no difference in quality to seperate the quality droids from the scrap, the only competitive point in Master DE sales is the price.

At 15k, youstill make enough to keep your business going. You wont be living in aWeaponsmith mansion withservants and concubines...

I'd tell you to suck it up and wait out the nerf storm and that our time will come... but even I don't believe it anymore. Our time may well come to late.

On Lowca I sell an adv. probot with 2 up to level 4 modules and medium 40% armor for 15k, or with 2 level 6 modules and medium 40% armor for 18k. I do not sell a lot at that price. Most people seem to have the opinion that a non-ch pet is better and cheaper.

I made a second character on Eclipse, just to have fun with. I wanted my new character to have NO crafting skills whatsoever... I never wanted to have to worry about harvesters, etc... just log in and have fun when I wanted to, or to take a break from working on Lowca. However, I really wanted to purchase a probot on Eclipse... particularly one with medium 40% armor and possibly level 4 medical and storage, or level 6 medical and storage... but have not been able to find it yet at a price I could afford. One person offered to sell me an Adv. probot with level 6 medical, data, and storage, plus medium 40% armor for 40k, but this was far beyond my budget. I ended up finding a standard probot with level 3 armor on the bazaar for 1500. What a retarded difference in price! No wonder our profession has so many difficulties with pricing when there is such a vast price difference.

I forgot to mention, it really does depend on resources available. Duralloy steel and Extrusive ore make a big difference in my prices. If I am running low, I jack up prices even if someone isn't because that is what it is worth to me.

If I have 10's of thousands of these resources, why not sell a bunch of them? Heck, on my server you can buy common resources for less than 1.5 per. That also means you cannot make as much money selling resources.

Also, just try to shoot me, I got my 15k post-nerf advanced probot ready to battle!

(Anybody know whom the Mortis Droid Engineer is on the Naritus server outside Coronet?)

I consistently sell base probots with L3 armor for 10k, L3 being the highest armor level that doesn't require any really specific resource types, and I think that's a reasonably fair price. I use one myself for bodyguard duty on harvester runs, and it works pretty well for somebody with limited needs like that. If I did charge more, it would be to increase the PITA surcharge for anything containing a Micro Sensor Suite. Currently I don't bother with advanced probots too much.

I'd try selling for more, but last time I checked somebody was selling a dozen or so probots for 3k apiece on the bazaar. I can't match that, for sure. I don't think the guy should be shot, but I also think he'll eventually realize that he's not getting enough reward for his time investment to make it worth his while to continue making them or selling them that cheap.
