Thread: what is the price that i can ask for a crate of unprogrammed data chips???
Still selling them like crazy at that price (no discount for crates), but it's slowed down to the point that I can actually craft some droids.

It's funny (in a sad way) how many DE's cut their own throats on pricing. Maybe it has something to do with the nature of many players who pick up DE as a profession. I cant fault them for it...I do it to myself too, although less now than when I started DE.
BTW I'm sell these chips for 3k on my serverand they're moving steady. I might drop the price later as volume slows, but there's demand here, so I plan to profit from it. Note I used the word profit, not exploit or rip-off. Anyone who says selling these for 3k is a ripoff can go to the public bazzar and find them for 500-1000c. I'm not forcing anyone to buy them.
The person who is a novice pilot and claims not to have 5k for a chip. You bought a ship, weapons, armor and shields (I hope 
. Even at teir 1 that's several thousand credits. If you plan on advancing to higher level craft and equipment, you're going to be spending a lot more in the future than 3k. Better get prepared for it now. Run missions, sell loot, harvest and sell resources (or trade to your shipwright)....do something that generates an income. If JTL is anything,it's ahuge money and resource sink...we'll all have to get used to it.
Another idea to access parts for you ship...befriend a more experianced pilot and barter or buy their used lower level components. You might even get lucky and get some for free.
