Thread: Publish 7 Update

Not sure what is up with the Probots at the moment. I thought I read elsewhere that the HAM on them was a great deal higher now but Drashk's post refutes that. Of course it also doesn't agree with the model of the R3 and the Advanced LE (having significantly fewer HAM than either when it should probably have a great deal more) so I suspect the HAM on it isn't currently correct.
Maybe this armor change will make it easier to make probots, since we'll only need fiberplast panels to put in the defensive sockets rather than armor 6 modules. ![]()

Ok. Here is an update to the update. I spent a little longer that I really should have, but I was chatting with JavelinCatcher while I ran a few tests. The Adv LE that I built ended up with the following stats on a 100% Effective Experimentation and a 314 Combat Module rating.
Adv LE
2200 HAM
1.5 Speed
0.36 To Hit
68 - 83 Damage
I'm 99% sure that an individual combat module will cap out at a 120 - 125 Combat Rating, so with a maxed out combat rating of 360 - 375 an Adv LE should be in the 75 - 90 damage range at 100% Experimentation.
I also built and Adv DZ-70, which had some surprising results, at least to me. The Adv DZ-70 that I built had a 97% Effective Experimentation with a Combat Module rating of 209. Here is what it looked like.
Adv DZ-70
1089 HAM
1.5 Speed
0.38 To Hit
102 - 114 Damage
The HAM appears to max out at 1100, just like the Adv Probot and the damage looks like it should cap in the 110 - 130 range. I maybe incorrect in this guess, but with the HAM of the Adv DZ-70 being the same as the Probot I think that the Probot HAM value may be capped a lesser value than was intended. Hopefully this can be straightened out in short order.

I've seen no evidence of decaying armor though... one would think one would be able to tell when one's probot suddenly becomes one pile of junk...

Remember some of those reports of Pre-Nerf Probots that have lost their armor?
There is also the bug that was occuring with the shifting resists when ever the droid was called or passed over a border. This could have been a result of the decay system that was pulled during Beta. (Might be the same problem happening with certain types of Armorsmith created products as well.)
I tested out the new armor resistances and here is what I found....
Module Level Module Rating Resistance
1 1 - 3 4%
2 3 - 5 8%
3 5 - 7 12%
4 7 - 9 15%
5 9 - 11 18%
6 11 - 13 20%
Armor stacking now follows the same system as the other three level based modules.
That is all I have to report for now.

Ill bet your right on all counts.

Wow, all thosedays we wondered if we could be more broken - and we were the whole time and didn't even know it! ![]()

Nope, I just dont see any equality in the professions, given all the Bio-bits and pieces that BE can produce for tailors and so on.
Don't worry, I have some thoughts on how we can resolve this maybe...someday...possibly.

Respectfully,
So basically we went from a droid with medium armor and 40% resists, down to a droid with just 20% resists? I think we just got royally screwed people. Unless one of our droids has around 5K HAM, we got a bum rap and are once again being laughed at by the developers for raising hell to fix us.
R2's with guns taped to his head, and now they have made our combat droid half of what it used to be. Thanks Dev's !!! Thanks for the whack upside the head again ! I think you cracked my skull this time !

Well I certainly hope so TK, cos from where I am sitting, we just got the right royal kicking. (aka for you gentlemen.."you are hereby ordered to bend over and pick up that soap from the communal showeroom floor"
Go to it, Gnorts and all!!
ok, I've started to play around with a probot I built while I was talking to Drashk. I've gone to various planets having this probot fight things that are ~CL10. Long story short, the probot is chewing them up and spitting them out (if they could :smileyvery-happy
without it needing any repair kits at all. It would take on 2 or3 lesser plains bols before I would have to repair it. The damage output seems to be very nice compared to what it is now on live.
...I'm off to Endor now to pit it against a cowardly gurreck and see how it does ![]()
