There's a difference between mounts and vehicles. A Master CH can make at most 16 mounts in a weeks time, and that's if they choose to forgo using any personal pets. The demand for vehicles will match that of mounts, but supply will be far greater. Prices should stabilize at around 5-10K on the first day.

Although your point is valid from a Creature Handler's standpoint, you are misrepresenting the type of gouging that actually occurs, even now. When I purchase a mountable pet from a Bio-Engineer, pay 5k for that pet (cheap by many's standards), get it trained by a CH for 15k and let it grow in my own datapad for a week (literally seven days, by the way -my Bio-Engineered pet didn't have the growth spurts that wild creatures have),and after all that, the ONE COMMAND that would turn the creature into a mount is going to cost me another 15k? Even you have to admit that 35k for a mount that I grew myself is excessive.

Bio Engineers are the ones who got the shaft on that deal. From my example, a 30k shaft. The inflationin this caseis caused byCreature Handlerscharging a premium for skill, and not for any type of overhead costs. If you think that I should playdifferently, then you are mistaken. I am an independent crafter, and I work hard to obtain resources, a place to sell goods from, and all of the various overhead costs that I have no choice but to bear. It takes me several days to harvest enough resources to feed a factory run, and at least a day for the factory to do that run. Don't play the time sink card as a reason to charge more, or I will add that to the price of a vehicle.

And finally, if it is the choice between making it worth my time to sellvehicles or not selling them at all, I will give them to my friends, ride them myself, and not sell a single one. Just like Creature Handlers. You cannot assume the supply vs. demand ratio, and although your outlook on price stabilization is optimistic, I have to respectfully disagree on your reasoning. My practices will be no different than that of droids. What will be different is that the demand will be exponentially higher.

I'll probably do tiered pricing on my vendor the first day, assuming I can get factory run done before leaving for work: I'll put in some at 10-15k, some at 25-35k, and some at 50-60k. If demand is so high that they all sell, well, there it is; demand is demand. If not, I'll just reprice when I come home. No sweat at all. Otherwise, I'll just sell at whatever the reasonable going rate is after the first day.

CHs will pay doublethe going price everyone else pays, except for CHs who are cool and those who did not try to gouge me on mounts. I encourage others to price similarly; call it poetic justice or just plain revenge. Buy them from someone else if you don't like it.

5k to 10k seems to be the going rate on a lot of the forums. My servers forum is taking orders for within that price range already (I don't even know if they know that only MA's will be able to make them).
Which brings me to my point- You can't really say what you will charge for them cause you don't know what the final ingrediants are. If it is the 1000 Metal, 250 chemical and 20 complex I've read about in so many places 5-10k sounds about right.
Charging just 3x what ever the resources are is a good start (in the above example that would be just under 4k) but you could sell just the resources for that amount. You got to take into account Your skills- How long it takes you to produce them- How much your time is worth to spend just making vehicles instead of enjoying other aspects of the game- How rare are MAs on your server- What other options does the buyer have-
A crap load of things!
The other thing is the options on the vehicles. I read that they would not give you the option to choose a color but that was Monday when vehicles could be crafted by anyone with engineering IV.
All of these things will ratchet up the price very nicely. You want to be sure not to overcharge though- If you need an incentive to keep the price resonable here it is: MOST BUYERS WILL WANT TO BUY ALL THREE TYPES OF VEHICLES. I know I do. Plus unlike mounts I think these things blow up and need to be replaced. A person could price themselves out of a repeat customer.
On the plus side the previous gouge that CH's pulled with pets will make our prices very friendly (A week after mounts were introduced I saw a guy in coronet selling Non-CH mounts for 40k. Yeah, you read right 40k!).
That said, those selling vehicles for 5k and below (with the above schem) are being overly nice or need a little self-esteem help. Those selling at 20k and above are taking advantage of the situation and would probably sell water at a forest fire. 10k is a nice price- Heck a smart man might be able to get away with selling 'em for 12k and a free tune up if he had his thinking hat on.

all that is my humble opinon of course...

There's a difference between mounts and vehicles. A Master CH can make at most 16 mounts in a weeks time, and that's if they choose to forgo using any personal pets. Ey guys didnt you know?

Apart from being moved to MA, vehicles schematcs have changed: they now need 10x resources than before:

Speederbikes / Swoops 10k Ferrous and 2500 Non-Ferrous

Landspeeders 12000 Ferrous and 4500 Non-Ferrous

That means: at 3cpu it would be 35.5k for speedbikes and swoops and 49.5k fow landspeeders if my maths are right...

What has moving it to MA got to do with DE's? that is a really strange thing to say. It does nothing for the DE's, nothing at all

I'm still totally against it going to a start off profession, it should be going to an elite profession, and that profession should be DE (see the reason below).

The schem's are total wrong to, how can you have speeders and bikes with no motive sensors to move the thing, no sensor packages to steer it either. All it is, is a heap of metal.

The Dev's have got it totally wrong, and they really should think about switching it to the DE tree and redoing the schems or start a new Engineer profession. And I will continue to fight about this on the forums, in the SWG chat and in game aswell.

Just that most DEs are MA too

Regarding the schematics needing component parts I totally agree

Not directly, but more of us are MAs than any other crafter class.

call me mean i dont care, but i wont be making anyone but myself any vehicles. My roomate even got a little upset cause i told him i'm not making him one either (he can ride his chicken) IF i do make any for anyone other than me, I will be charging 100k each. that should push request away from me. and if it doesnt i'll take the prices up another 100k and keep going up till they stop asking me.

Over 100 speeders?

You'll need well over a million units of steel for that. Just a heads-up.... Resource requirements have been multiplied by ten or so from their original values.
