Another one of those 'what if' scenarios...

If I as a Master Ranger have one of these droids that I befriend to someone else - will it still use my harvest bonus when he tells it to harvest. If so this could effectivally double my harvesting in an area.

IE I go in one direction to harvest and the other guy takes my droid in another direction - he uses my droid to harvest cause he has no harvest skill and I use my own hands to harvest.

There is a bug with harvesting, If you try to harvest a resource that is not present on the corpse ie: bone from a mite. (of course this only happens if you are harvesting with macros) it renders the corpse unharvestable to all players in the group for all resources. can someone test this with the droid? what happens if the droid is set to harvest bone from a mite?

thanks in advance.

I have a question for the testers that hopefully would be easy to check...

There are some circumstances where a scout/ranger cannot harvest from a corpse. The most common is if the corpse is in deep water, simply because the scout/ranger himself cannot harvest while mounted or swimming. By ill luck or design, I lose half the kimogilas I kill because they always flee into water right before they die.

Can anyone check whether a droid can harvest from a corpse in the water?

Thanks!

Make sure you put the module ina droid thatcan keep up with your swoop. I sure am not going to wait 15 seconds to call out a droid, group it, configure it,before every mission lair.

Most 'pressing' question for me as a potential customer for such a droid:

The +20 / module, is this the maximum, is it a fixed value or (my hope) can this go higher with top ressources used and good experimentation?

I haven't been able to make one higher than 20 (and not for lack of trying).

They are (right now) devilishly hard to make, due to some experimentation weirdness. I'm checking on this now..and it's on the list of issues too.

Ok, I definitly had my harvestingdroid harvest at 62m today. My droid and I were both at 62m, so there was no ambiguity here.

These modules stack.. Are there some hard numbers that you can relate?

If a player has +60 to creature harvest, and sends his R3 with 6 x +20 modules to harvest... what is the difference? Does it add directly? is it a percent?

What if he sends a droid with 1 x +20 module? Is there a point of diminishing returns? Does 6x modules do THAT much better than 5x?

Hi -

Can you stack 6 of these modules for maximum effect, or does the bonus havea limit? Also, does experimentation affect this module at all?

I am understandably perplexed by this module. Some have said that it does stack some have said it doesnt?

I made a run of these modules which turned out at 15 (not great but not to bad i thought) I made an mse for a ranger as a test he harvested 132 units of organics without it and 123 units with it. Clearly this unit was not useful to him . Gonna try stacking next in an adv MSE.

My apologies if anyone has already posted this suggestion, but you can get your droid to harvest from a MUCH greater distance if you use the 'follow other' command when the mob is still alive.

I train the command 'hunt!' to the 'follow other' command.

add '/tellpet hunt!' to your attack macro and the droid will approach the mob while you are killing it. When the mob dies, do your harvest! command. target next mob and attack macro.

rinse and repeat.

Live Testing Results: Harvesting Module

I can understand how these things may have slipped by our busy TC guys, but I got some very interesting results in short order with my first Harvester Droid.

1- A Bio-Engineer can harvest a screature that has been killed by DNA oversampling when using a Droid. This is not normall possible. As much as I was tempted not to /bug this and cater to the BE market. I have done so. Could be weeks or months before this gets fixed though.

2- A well made droid is better at harvesting than my BE, and when my BE eats Veghash, the droid gets even better. This is kinda funny, I guess the droid works harder knowing I've been well-fed. I also /bug this, but enjoy both of these while they last folks.
