Are you kidding me? You can really store missions in droids? OMG. This should definately be something droid engineers advertise. I had absolutely no clue about this until I searched today on droid uses. Now I'm going to buy one asap.

Can I get an R2 crafting droid with a data unit that holds missions? Two abilities in one would be awesome!

I searched around for a while and have been unable to come up with much of a list. I'm curious as to what the different droids are used for? I've seen what the bounty hunter droids do, and medic and storage droids are pretty obvious, but what about the others? Binary Load Lifter? Power Droid? Protocol Droid? Do these have uses at all or just different chassis to load the same modules? I've heard that there are "maid" droids that reduce the maintanence cost of a house. Is this true? or was that guy selling a pack of lies?

Thanx for any info you guys can provide.

Power droid = recharges other peoples droids (cant do your own since you can only have 1 droid called)

Protocol/Load Lifter = big waste of time and resources (yes I'm serious)

No droid effects maint payments atm, the devs have said this is something they are considering

All the other droids perform the function of whatever module loadout they have (assuming that the function/combo isnt bugged)

Protocols depend on your server, on tarquinas I've got no problem getting ditanium so my protocols are cheaper than my R3's (and cheaper to make than R2's). I find people love them and they hold 2 modules just fine, one of my best selling droids. That is assuming advanced, regular.... yea, they're a waste.
