7th?

Back to Droid functions for Protocol and the BLLs. You mentioned a combat role for humanoid droids and hearalds, but the BLL is not a Humanoid droid. Its our Biggest and most expensive/intensive droid to make but has absolutely no function. Is there a use for these as well? BLL = Binary Load Lifter and Adv. Binary Load Lifter, neither of which do anything but walk, not even chew gum.

This is a good start Thunderheart, and thank you for coming here and posting this.

I would really like to see some of the things you mentioned expedited in a much faster manner, however. Something like a Droid Stim pack, which isnot currently in the game, is patently unfair and extremely annoying while Creature stims already exist in the game, and have existed in the game for some time now.

Wow....thanks for addressing us TH. I'm glad that you listed the definitive answer about the Cluster Module stacking at the top of the list. Guess my concern on todays bug list is answered now.

The power upgrade for Probots will be pushed out to live in the next publish. Basically, they follow pet rules. After the publish, Probots can be created to the exact same as a Level 10 Pet (keeping in line with the new pet rules. If probots were more powerful, then it would devalue the CH pets…)

Yes. Its pending. I want to say when, but I can’t because droids touch everything else and I’d be guessing blind and Id rather you be frustrated with me for not saying anything at all rather than saying the wrong thing…

I guess this is answer that I have been seeking on the Bug Thread about the current upgrades to the Probot on TC. I'll still be listing all of the bugs that I am finding with droid content, after each code patch though, just so that you know that I am around looking for them

And I appologize for all the flames you are about to recieve from some of our more embitterned brotheren

I was giving Sintrosi some grief about this in the Correspondent forum but that’s ‘cause I want to see him blow a gasket so I can see if he leaks oil….

Thanks TH... it's wonderful to see a little extra frustration put on someone who has already been so patient.

Not impressed.

So just in time for Christmas, after dragging a couple hundred thousand of you through the mud, while making millions we think the game is finally starting to work and we'll really be working on this soon. I'm sorry, I have very little sympathy for how busy you are or how much work you have to do. Telling me about it doesn't make it go away or get it done any faster. I'm certain your boss doesn't let you get away with as many excuses as you use in the boards.

Grumble Grumble Grumble

I know I shouldn't be annoyed by the tone of this post, but TH does NOT have any thing to do with the implementation of the fixes and such. Thunderheart is our connection to the Devs, and therefor spends most of his time on the boards gathering information for the Devs and then giving us their responses. A lot of times he can't give us information back because things change. Doubt me? Play Test Center for a while and then tell me that I'm wrong.

As for the past 6 months have been "gamma testing," I'm going to repeat something I've said many times: the first six months of the game are ALL about balancing and bug fixing. Beta testing can only get you so far as compared to being Live. At least this isn't DAoC and things are getting better as opposed to getting much, much worse.

Slythetove, come out to the Test Center for a few minutes and I'll show you what a CL10 pet looks like now, compared to a maxed out DL10Probot with Medium 40% armor. The Probot that you are using on Live now is a Difficulty Level of 10 and not the reported 16 that is listed in the datapad. This is an issue related to the pre-nerf Probots that was never fixed.

Heck, one of my Probots on TC can now own a TC Rock Beetle.

ok I have a concern here and its not very clearly stated. Allot of noise is being said about combat droids. Here are my more specific questions:

  1. Will you be able to add "combat modules" into any droid? If yes, I dont like that. C3PO packing heat will look terribly out of place and a mockery to Lucas.

  2. If first question is NO... Will these additional combat droids have new chassis? I would love to make IG Assasin droids.

  3. Who will be able to control these "new" combat droids? If they are CL 10 or below, there would be no reason to purchase these new droids other than a probot. Their functionality would be the same, the only difference would be their appearance. There needs to be specializations in them (allot of talk about specialization in the combat changes upcomming, this can also be applied to droids)

That medium armor is going to put all non-CH pets out of business

21.) Why are Droid Engineers dependant on Master Artisan components directly or indirectly (subcomponents of components) for at least 41 of the items in the Droid Engineering lines, but no other crafting profession even begins to approach this level of dependency?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We agree. In the not too distant future, either all dependencies are going up or your dependencies are going down. Its way too early to talk about which way that’s going to go at this point in time…

That's probably the coolest thing I've ever heard about our profession.

Let's hope that not too distant future is sooner than later.

This is excellent news, all round. I guess this puts to rest the posts circulating on this board about them not doing anything. There's too much momentum to pull back at this point. C'mon January! Lets build some droids!
