TK, the problem as I see it is this. Your biggest market for these are your serious crafters, the ones always chasing the newest and best resources.


A large percentage of them use SWG craft. Our server actually has a site called the Scylla Surveyors guild, that you need to pay (or be an updater for,) to access. It is far more up to date and much easier to search then SWG Craft.


The relevancy of this is that with such a large portion of people who have INSTANT access to ALL resource types and stats, the market of these wont be very high, even if a few random stats are given.


Yes, yes, I know not everybody uses the websites, but enough do to degrade sales.


So our choices are really.


A.) Ignore the websites, and give the same information like stats, knowing that the websites will degrade sales.


B.) Acknowledge the websites and try and get the Droids to give something more.


B is a lot harder though.

How about a remote controlled droid? You set him to go to a distant planet (select planet, starport) or start where you are, then you get a interface like when you open your own survey tool + movement controls...

Then you can search the planet (maybe at 1.5 times the speed of a swoop) in this interface, with a refresh button and the surveyed area based on the userskills + droid&tool quality...

best would be with a timelimit, too, also based on the droid's quality...


Maybe a HP Counter for HostileEncounters & Armorplating for these droids too....

A Button to add the current location as WP into the Datapad maybe...

And as last Action, if they have enough power left, they could bring back a sample of the current ressource
