Thread: Petition to developers: Droid Engineer Exp all droid engineers please respond
Alternately they could up the resource requirements so that we are resource limited instead of market limited (ie we need to make fewer mouse droids but they take up the same amount of resource that the current number of mouse droids take).
I would rather have more content than increased cost, though.
I think the XP is fine. I'm almost at the novice droid lvl, and its only been what 4 days?! If you want to be a master elite profession inside of a month, then GRIND GRIND GRIND, powergame away, I know I'm going to try (well probably take quite a few months for me though). Otherwise just have fun with it, take your time, when you get bored go kill some tuskans and work on a little combat xp or something. But dont make it so anyone who has some extra time in the cantina can make a decent droid engineer in a short time. Otherwise it'll kill the profession. Keep it hard, keep the DE community small. Otherwise might as well be a weaponsmith like everyone else.

I am already novice Droid and it was difficult enough to grind out 28,800, but because the simple nature of the item I was grinding it was not that hard. With Droids being so complex utilizing so many components they should provide better XP. I think the cap 48,000 or the XP you get from grinding a Droid must change. By the time you get 48,000 with the current XP of the Mouse you would have created enough for the whole server to have one making it worthless to try to sell them since it takes more gold to post then what people will pay for them. I have at least 50 Mouse droid in my bag and have given away about 20 of them and I am only at 6k Droid XP.
Whats worse about all this is when you get higher lvl and are making better droids you can see it now everyone on the server with a Killer droid making the Droid Engineer Path worthless since anyone can use a droid. I think this should have been thought out better during Development making it so that more crafted items were required to build a droid which would make your overall XP per droid 10x as much as it is now only having to grind out48 droids for the first lvl, but still taking quite a bit of time especially if you make the falure rate of making a good droid around a 50% or 60% rate.
Side note: when people use a droid you created you should get XP even after it was created. So go sell your droids ASAP for more XP.
SirWalter has the right idea.
Droids should be more complex to build, requiring more resources, and more components. And there should be a MUCH bigger payout for xp for a finished droid. PLEASE don't make me supply the entire server with mouse droids before I can make anything else.
Tempus
Engineers and lower level Droid Engineers should be given a wider variety of craftable components (can't even GIVE away CDEF weapons...).
Droids should be made up of increasingly complex combinations of the above parts.
fix Droid uXP
give more appropriate XP for succesfully combing components into complex droids.
The 28800 to get to DE is understandable....but the insane tech lvl 1 skill xp requirements are way too much.
The amount of xp for which droids give you at novice DE must be made more, even if the cost for producing them is heightened.
yes FIX UXP
And make DE more effective! I want to be able to sell my droids when I get there!!!
I sooooooooo Agree, i can see spending the 28k xp in GCXP , once i became a DE i was cheering..and i open up my Droid crafting box..and see the limited number of things, was disappionted, but i understood...so i craft a droid for my friend, a mouse bot, and a healing mod chip..First it cant heal, Second the mouse droid wont listen to anything i tell it to do...D: So i have a box following me around..who in the right mind would buy that
So figured i out grind and get something to help..and noticed the horrid Xp pure thing its gonna take a week just to get 1 box...not to mention years to master DE
On a serious note. Please devs when you start your balancing patches take a serious look at droid engineers. We NEED balancing... we're a bit gimpy. The class has serious promise and this isn't a matter of grass is greener but give us a reason to make these droids. Not just because we need to get to the next box but WE need a reason.
