um.. if you READ my post you will see that was what was FUNNY and why I am stupid. I made a cluster only to discover probots (standardmodule) can ONLY HAVE ARMOR IN THEM WHICH IS PROBABLY A DUH FOR ALL YOU DE"s BUT I AM NEW AND IT WAS FUNNY CAUSE I TOOK 1 HOUR TO MAKE HIM A DROID I COUDLNT MAKE!!!!!!!! THEN I ACCIDENTALY MADE IT WITH NO ARMOR AFTER THAT IT WAS HAHA FUNNY!!!!!!!! RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Actually, as I recall Thunderheart only confirmed that nesting a cluster INSIDE a cluster was a bug. Putting a cluster module inside a general module socket has not been confirmed by the devs to be a bug. It has been pointed out to them time and time again, but they have not made a declaration one way or the other.

first off probots (standard) dont have a module socket, thet got a dang DEFENSE module socket. So unless there is an ARMOR DEFENCE cluster then it cant even go in a probot.

As for a cluster going into a normal module, well were the heck else would it go???!?!?! Oh wait there is a service module.. whats that other one your talkin about???

I only ever noticed a service module slot, and a defence slot.

oy.. i am gettin a headache thinkin about slots and cluster.. anways i thought what happend to me was funny and it was not a freakin expoit and had nothing to do with exploits.

Sorry to see that you are so frustrated. I think once you level up you will understand what I am trying to convey. Some droids accept modules, and some droids accept cluster modules. The R2 and I believe the surgical droid are supposed to accept cluster modules. Other droids are not supposed to accept the cluster, and instead are designed to hold a single module. I believe where you are confused is that you do not have the schematic for the higher end droids that allow the use of clusters, but instead have the lower end droids that will accept clusters, but should not.

okay here's one for ya, now I am not frustrated, now I wanna learn (i was frustraed people said i was putting socket in socket)

How about the R5?? I have been makin the standard R5 and R2 with a socket cluster that i put two med modules and a food craft module in.

I dont think thats an "exploit" cause its not easy to know your exploiting i mean its not like some hidden thing ya have to figure out, I didnt think about it, i just assumed that was the point of the cluster thingy, to go in droids with one slot. Basically makes you need to level high in DE vs being low level.

So your saying R5 and R2 standard may possible be broken because they accept cluster thingies vs. just a one service module?

All we can say without getting into speculation is this:

It's perfectly alright to put a single module into an R5

It's perfectly alright to put a cluster module into an R2

If you look at the R2 schematic, you'll notice that in order to put any function into the droid, it requires a cluster, you can't make a single-module R2 without making a single-module cluster!

Since an R5 is a low-end droid, and an R2 is a high-end droid, it makes little sense to have the R5 be a more versatile and useful machine.

oh okay so maybe like R5 and mouse droids are broke, now i understand the whole argument about why all droids are created equal and how it makes everyone mad, seems like the accidently messed up, looks like it was designed to be more variety but somehow it slipped through the cracks! thanky for the info good to know!

sorry heh i just got upset, i'm not mad at ya though. Sometimes these proffesion boards get so darn negative and i was just being my hippy bippy happy self posting a stupid thread about my adventures. I am just "burnt out" on the threads that yell and scream and acuse and blah blah, and I don't mean you particularly I am just tired of reading negiative threads is all. But I HAVE TO come to these boards if I wanna be smart, educate my customers and give back to the community. I AM NOT getitng paid to play this game so it's not my job to "test" thhings, but I do believe in being educated. Otherwise I would be selling all kinds of messed up droids and I wouldnt make any money or have return customers.

I sold two droids last night, one combat one on my vendor (I can not make good armor yet so i sell em for like cheap) and then one R5 for someone who just wanted one that would beep and store stuff
