engineers at NASA dont single handedly build the ENTIRE shuttle themself, or else yes they could use it fine.
a DE does all the work.. builds every part of the droid.. therefor he should know how to use every part.
its not like he makes the control panel and passes it on to someone else

Look, bottom line guys, the current BE/CH model doesnt work. That's why players playing the BE class are just about non-existant. On Eclipse, you might run into a BE once ever two or three months and the numbers are still dropping. You can make all the arguements you want for a DH class but it will prove out to be repeating the same mistake. It's just all the so called pure crafters here than don't want any Droid Engineer only powerful combat droids cause they like not having any competition. Well, guess what, after you rack up your millions, the tedium gets to you and you cancel account. As a hybrid style DE, I have outlasted several generations of pure crafters on Eclipse already. The pure crafters come and go ever three or four months. Pure crafting alone is not enough entertainment value in this game. That's why the powerful combat droids belong in the Droid Engineering profession tree.
And don't give me the NASA/space shuttle crap. Like ppl here have said, nobody single-handedly builds an entire shuttle or a fighter jet. But us DE's do single-handledly build droids.

So long as we get some SERIOUSLY NEEDED bug fixes, and some TRULY USEFUL utility modules added to the profession, I don't mind getting some different and interesting CL10 combat droids at all.
But priority must be on repairing the broken bits of Droid Engineering.
I'm lazy today. So I just quote Engineer Rho and pretend I wrote that.

Why are all the same people backing out of the Higher then level 10 CL droids. I seen a lot of folks post that they wanted Combat droids. I am one of them... I have not changed my mind like a direction the wind blows.
Yes we do need Combat Droids, Master Level Espeicaly...

Guess what reaction I get from my current customers on Eclipse when I tell them about the "new" utility features thats coming out instead of combat droids.

Don't get me wrong. I'm in favor of the new utility features. But is a secondary line of business at best. Hardly what you can call a "Droid Invasion" by any means. We DE's haven't had a main line of business since the infamous Probot Nerf. Combat and combat related/support items are at the heart of this game.
